At the end of each day's work on surface mixture, joints shall be formed

the Superintendent of Streets. When the laying of the surface course mixture is resumed,
the exposed edge of the joint shall be painted with a thin coat of hot asphalt cement or
asphalt cement thinned with naphtha, and the fresh mixture shalt be raked against the joint,

SECTION 9.
