WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, ~o~e of filing list of <br />unpaid assessments was duly given in the manner and fomm requir~ <br />by law, that the warrant, assessment and diagram recorded on the <br />8th day of May, 1928, for the wor$ and improvement made by <br />Steele Finley under that certain contract awarded to him on the <br />19th day of January, 192S, on Van Ness Avenue, and that said <br />warrant, assessment and diagram were returned to the Street <br />Superintendent of said City, together with a written statement <br />of all payments received upon the said assessment, and after the <br />full expiration of twenty (20) days f~om the date of said war- <br />rant, the Street Superintendent duly made and filed with the <br />City Clerk of said City of Santa Ana, a complete list of all <br />assessments unpaid upon the said assessment, which list is now <br />on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, now upon <br />evidence shown, this Board determines that the assessments <br />therein mentioned were then unpaid, the total aggregate thereof <br />being the sum of Two Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty-eight and 44/ <br />lOOths ($2§88.4~) Dollars, and that assessment No. 18 in the <br />amount of Eleven and 4?/lOOths ($11.4V) Dollars has sin~e been <br />paid, and that there now remains unpaid the sum of Two Thousand <br />Five Hundred Forty-six and 9~/lOOths ($28~6.9~) Dollars upon the <br />assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention <br />No. 1398 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, <br />passed the 8th day of December, 1928, for a complete description <br />of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid assess- <br />ments filed as above noted, for the assessments unpaid. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the <br />manner requi~ed by law to appear before the Board of Trustees of <br />the said City of Ss~ta Aha, California, in the Council Chamber <br />of the City Hall of said City, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. <br />of Monday, the 8th day of June, 1928, and show cause why bonds <br />should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments <br />shown on said Street Superintendent~s list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form <br />required by law that serial bonds to represent unpaid assess- <br />ments bearing interest at the rate of six (6%) per cent per <br />annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the <br />"Improvement Bond Act of 1918", the last installment of which <br />bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of July next <br />succeeding ten (10) months from their date. <br /> <br /> And all interested persons having appeared before this <br />Board of Trustees and having been given full opportunity to show <br />cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the <br />unpaid assessments shown on said list, and all objections pre- <br />sented having been heard and considered; <br /> <br /> NON BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees does <br /> <br /> <br />
