RESOLUTION NO. 1604 The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana 8o hereky resolve as follows: That, V~ereas, heretofore, W. A. Greenleaf, a single man, in consideration for certain sums to him paid, granted to the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the fifth ~lass an easement for the purpose of developing water on that certain real property situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the ~est line of Section Twelv. (12), Township Five (8) South, Range Ten (10) West, S.B.Bo & M. 816.02 feet South of the Northwest corner of said Section said point being also the Northwest corner of Tract of land con- veyed to first party herein by deed recorded in Book 273, page 318 of Deeds, records of Orange County, California, and 1-unning thence Easterly along the ~orth line of said Tract 195 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the West line of said section 50 feet; thence Westerly parallel with the North line of said Tract 50 feet; thence Northerly parallel to the West line of sai gectlon 12, 30 feet; thence Westerly parallel to and 20 feet Sou. therly from the North line of said Tract, 145 feet; to the West llne of said Section 12; thence Northerly along the West line of said Section 12, 20 feet to the place of beginning. Reserving therefrom the West ~0 feet for road purposes. The abo~e described P~operty is conveyed subject to the following stated express conditions ~uning with the land, to-wit That said land shall be used only for the purposes of developing water and for ingress and egress to the well or wells and pumping plant located thereon. That in the event said City of Santa Ana shall cease t¢ use the said property for the development and removel of water therefrom, the rights hereby conveyed shall cease, and said pro- petty shall re~ert to and be veste~ in the grantor herein, his heirs or assigns and shall be entitled to immeSiate possession thereof. That in the event said City of Santa Ana shall cease tc use said land as above provided, said City shall remove all im- provements place8 thereon and leave said p~operty as near as pos- sible in the same conSi~Ion as at the present time. ~nd that ~q~ereas, since the ~8th day of October, 1919, said City of Santa Ana has used the land hereinbefore described for the purpose of developihg water, but that whereas, at the present time the City of Santa An2 has no further use for the said land; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED ~ND ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF TRUS- TEES in regular session held on the 91st day of December, 19~8, that the said City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the fifth class, hereby releases and forever quitclaims to the said W. A. Greenleaf, a single man, all of the interest that the said municipal corporation may have secured by reason of the easement heretofore granted and set forth in this Resolution~ for the reason that the further use for the purposes set forth in the easement are no longer necessary or convenient for the City of Santa ~na. It is further ordered by the Board of Trustees that the City Attorney prepare necessary papers for releasing the said pro petty, and that the President of the Boar8 of Trustees and the Clerk thereof duly sign the said release.
