RESOLUTION NO. 1829 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI~T~ OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE <br /> OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS PURBUANT TO RESOLUTION <br /> OF INTENTION NOL 1717, DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF <br /> UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION <br /> OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVI1)ING FOR THEIR ISSU~tCE IN <br /> ANNUAL SERIES: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of filing list of <br />unpaid assessments ,~as duly given in the manner and form required <br />by law, that the warrant, assessment and diagram was recorded on th <br />7th day of September, 1927, for the work and improvement made by <br />T. ~. Oglesby, under that certain contract awarded to him on the <br />7th day of ~arch, 1927, upon South Van Ness Avenue in said City <br />from the South line of West Edinger Street to the South line of <br />Tract No. 289; and that said w~rrant, assessment and diagram were <br />returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with <br />written statement of all payments received upon the said assessmen <br />and after the full expiration of thirty (30) days after the date o~ <br />recording of said warrant, the said Street Superintendent duly <br />made and filed with the City Clerk of said City of Santa Ana, a <br />complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the said assessment, <br />which list is now on file in the office of the City Cler~ of s~d <br />City; now upon evidence shown, this City Council determines that <br />the assessments therein mentioned wore then unpaid, the total <br />aggregate thereof being the sum of $21,10~.49, and that there has <br />been paid since the filing of the list of unpaid assessments by the <br />Street Superintendent the following assessments, to-wit: Assessment <br />No. 42 for ~146.37, assessment No. 43 for $146.39, assessment No. <br />44 for $146.39, assessment No. 45 for $146.39, assessment No. 107 <br />for $293.04, assessment No. 108 for $293.04, assessment No. 109 <br />for ~346.60, assessment No. 118 for $293.04, assessment No. 119 <br />for $293.04 and assessment No. 120 for $293.04, and that there now <br />remains unpaid the sum of Eighteen Thousand Seven Hun~ed Seven <br />and 15/100 Dollars ($18,707.15) upon the assessments shown upon <br />said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intentin No. <br />1717 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, passed on <br />the 10th day of January, 1927, for a complete description of the <br />work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid asse,sments filed <br />as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested ~rsons were notified in the manner <br />required by law to appear before the City Council in the Council <br />Chamber of the City Hall of said City at the hour of 7:30 o'clock <br />P.M. on Monday, the 17th day of October, 1927, and show cause, <br />why bc~ds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid <br />assessments shown on the Street Superintendent's list; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form <br />required by law, that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments <br /> <br /> <br />
