RESOLUTION ~0. 1848 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br /> CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEMENT <br /> BONDS, PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1V$O, <br /> DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING <br /> THE DENOMINATION OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR <br /> ISSUANCE IN ANNUAL SERIES: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of the filing of <br />list of unpaid assessments was duly given in the manner and form <br />required by law, that bhe warrant, assessment and diagram was <br />recorded on the llth day of October, 192V, for the work and improve <br />merit made by T. W. Oglesby, under that certain contract awarded to <br />him on the 18th day of April, 192V, upon East Washington Avenue <br />in said City from the Easterly termination of the west line of <br />Lincoln Avenue to the center line of Grand Avenue, except such <br />portions of said street as are already paved to the official grade, <br />as set forth in Hesolution of Intention No. 1730; and that said <br />warrant, assessment and diagram were returned to the Street Super- <br />intendent of said City, together with a written statement of all <br />payments received upon the said assessment; and after the full <br />expiration of thirty (~0) days after the date of recording of said <br />warrant, the said Street Superintendent duly made and filed with <br />the City Clerk of said City of Santa Aha, a complete list of all <br />assessments unpaid upon the said assessment, which list is now on <br />file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City: now upon <br />evidence shown, this City Council determines that the assessments <br />therein mentioned were then ~paid, the total aggregate thereof <br />being the sum of $9,894.91, and that there has been paid since the <br />filing of the list of unpaid assessments by the Street Superintend- <br />ent the following assessment, to-wit: Assessment No. 8 for $14.88, <br />and that there now remains unpaid the sum of Nine Thousand Five <br />Hundred Eighty and 3/100 Dollars ($9,880.03) upon the assessments <br />shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Refernece is hereby made to Hesolution of Intention <br />No. 1~30 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, passed <br />on the 28th day of February, 1927, for a complete description of <br />the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid assessments <br />filed as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner <br />required by law to appear before the City Council in the CounCil <br />Chamber of the City Hall of said City at the hour of 7:30 o'clock <br />P.M. on Monday, the 28th day of November, 192% and show cause, <br />why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid <br />assessments shown on the Street Superintendent's list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form <br />required by law, that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments <br />bearing interest at the rate of six per cent per annum will be <br />issued hereunder in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond <br />Act of 1918", the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine <br /> <br /> <br />
