RESOLUTION NO. 1851 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE <br /> OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS, PURSUANT TO RESOLU- <br /> TION OF INTENTION NO. lV21, DETERMINING THE AMOUNT <br /> OF ~PAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION <br /> OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR ISSUANCE IN <br /> ANNUAL SERIES: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of the filing of list <br /> of unpaid assessments was duly given in the manner and form required <br /> by law, that the warrant, reassessment and diagram was recorded on <br /> the 2~th day of November, 192V, for the work and improvement made by <br /> the Griffith Company, under that certain c~mtract awarded to it on <br /> the 30th day of March, 192V, upon Oxford Street in said City from <br /> the East line of South Main Street to the West line of Maple Street, <br /> except such portions of said street as are already paved to the <br /> official grade, as set forth~in'Resolution of Intention No. 1721; <br /> and that said warrant, reassessment and diagram were returned to the <br /> Street Superintendent of said City, together with a written state- <br /> ment of all payments received upon the said reassessment; and after <br /> the full expiration of thirty (30) days after t~ date of recording <br /> of said warrant, the said Street Superintendent duly made and filed <br /> with the City Clerk of said City of Santa Ana, s complete list of <br /> all assessments unpaid upon the said reassessment, which list is now <br /> on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; now upon <br /> evidence shown, this City Council determines that the assessments <br /> therein mentioned were then unpaid, the t~al aggregate thereof <br /> being the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Six and 92/100 <br /> Dollars ($5,396.92), and that no assessments have been paid since <br /> the filing of the list of unpaid assessments by the Street <br /> Superintendent, and that there now remains unpaid the sum of Five <br /> Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-six and 92/100 Dollars ($5,396.92), <br /> upon the assessments shown~pon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. <br /> <br />· 1721 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, passed on <br /> the 31st day of January, 1927, for a complete description of the <br /> work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid assessments filed <br /> as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner <br /> <br />· required by law to appear before the City Council in the Council <br /> Chamber of the City Hall of said City at the hour of V:30 o'clock <br /> P.M. on Monday, the 5th day of December, 1927, and show cause why <br /> bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assess- <br /> ments shown on the said Street Superintendent's list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form <br /> required bY law, that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments <br /> bearing interest at the rate of six per cent per annum will be <br /> issued hereunder in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond <br /> Act of 19~$", the last installment of which bonds shall mature <br /> <br /> <br />
