RESOLUTION ORDERING ~¥ORK

<br /> I~HEREAS, ~he City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />
<br /> of April, 1928, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 1915,
<br /> inafter described work to be done and improvement to be made
<br /> portions of those open public streets in said Ci~y, commonly known as Pacific
<br /> Avenue, Fifth Street, Third Street, Second Street, First Street and Bristol
<br /> Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 191S was duly and legally published
<br /> twice in the Santa ~a Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and
<br /> circulated in the City of Santa Anm, all as required by law, as appears from
<br /> the affidavit of W~Lee Millis, ~, principal clerk of the printers and pub-
<br /> lishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office
<br /> of the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha, on the 8th day of April, 1928; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoptio~ of said Resolution of Intent-
<br />ion No. 191S, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously
<br />posted along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more
<br />than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and 98 in all, notices of the
<br />passage of said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEmeNT, in the
<br />manner, form and substance as required by law, and the work being chargeable
<br />upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies of said notice along all of
<br />the open streets within such district at not more than three hundred (300) feel
<br />in distance apart, as appears from. the affidavit of C. L. Jenken, said Street
<br />Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> VE{EREAS, =he Street Superintendent of the City of ~anta Ana,
<br />con~nenced to post said notices on the 17th day of April, 1928, and fully com-
<br />pleted the posting thereof on the 19th day of April, 1~28, more than ten (10)
<br />days before the date set for hearing protests or objecti~ns to the proposed
<br />work and improvement, all as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street
<br />Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, filed in the office of the Clerk of
<br />said City on the 18th day of April, 1928, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> V~qEREAS, ~he City Council of the City of Santa ~na was duly and
<br />regularly in session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30 o~ cloc~
<br />P.~. on ~onday, the oOth day 'of A~ril, 1928, being the time, hour and place
<br />named in the ~esolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where
<br />any and all persons having any objection to the proposed work or improvement
<br />may appear before the City Council and show c~use why said proposed work shoul,
<br />not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 19iS; a~
<br />
<br /> i~HEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed
<br />of, overruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the
<br />City Cou~cil of the City of Santa Aha havin8 acquired jurisdiction to order
<br />the proposed work done and improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEreBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of ~he City of Santa Ana
<br />that the p~blic interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement
<br />made particularly set forth and described in Resolution of Intention Ho. 191S,
<br />which is dated the 2nd day of April, 1928, on file in the office of the Clerk
<br />
