RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the 16th ds~
<br />of July, 1928, passed its Resolution of Intention, No. 1980, to order the
<br />hereinafter described work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and
<br />along that open public street in said city, co,w, only .known as and called Baker
<br />Street, between the North line of First Street and the South llne of Fourth
<br />Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 19~0 was duly and legally published
<br />twice in the santa Aha Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published
<br />and circulated in the City of Manta Aha, all as required by law, as appears
<br />from the affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal .clerk of the printers and pub-
<br />lishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the offlce
<br />of the ulerk of the city of ~anta Aha, on the 19th day of July, 1928; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. 1980, the street Superintendent of the City of uanta Aha con-
<br />spicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at
<br />not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and 12 in all,
<br />notices of the pass~ge of said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF
<br />IMPRuVEU~NT, in the manner, form and substance as required by law, and the
<br />work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies of
<br />said notice along all of the open streets within such district at not more
<br />than three hundred (~00) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit
<br />of C. L. Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who personally posted said notices
<br />of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the city of .~anta Aha,
<br />commenced to post said notices on the 25th day of July, 1~28, and fulmy
<br />completed the posting thereof on the 2~Sth day of July, 1928, more than ten
<br />(10) days before the date set for hearing protests or objections to the pro-
<br />posed work and improvement, all as appears f~om the affidavit of C.L. Jenken,
<br />Street Superintendent of t~e City of ~anta Ana, filed in the office of the
<br />Clerk of said City on the 30tn day of July, 19z8, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> UHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Santa Aha was du-y aha
<br />regularly in session at the council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30 o~clocl
<br />P.M. on Monday, the 6th day of August, 1~28, being the time, hour and place
<br />named in the Resolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where
<br />any and all persons having any oojectlon to the proposed w,r~ or improvement
<br />may appear oefore the City Council and show cause why said proposed work ah oul~
<br />not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No.

<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed
<br /> of, overruled and denied in time, manner and form as required by law, and the
<br /> City Council of the City of Santa Aha having acquired Jurisdiction to order
<br /> the proposed work done and improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
<br /> that the puDllc interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement
