<br /> IN THE MATTER OF ACQUISITION AND I~PROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1, OF ~E CITY OF SANTA ANA.

<br /> RESOLUTION FIXING TINE FOR HEA~ING UPON ISSUANCE OF
<br /> BONDS FOR AN ACQUISITION.
<br />
<br /> V, TIEREAS, in the matter of Acquisition and Improvement District No.
<br />
<br />of the City of Santa Ana, the court has heretofore entered its interlocutory
<br />Judgments covering all of the respective parcels of land in the action brought to
<br />condemn the lands south to be acquired in said proceeding, said action being
<br />titled, City of Santa Ana, a Municipal Corporation of the Fifth Class, Plaintiff,
<br />vs. Louis Ewing, et al, defendants (Superior Court case No. 25280), and the City
<br />Attorney has filed his report with this City Council on the l~th day of November,
<br />1928, setting forth the amounts necessary for the payment of said interlocutory
<br />judgments and all costs and expenses chargeable to the plaintiff therein, and the
<br />amount of incidental expenses of the proceedings; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the total amount for which it is necessary that bonds of the
<br />said district be issued and sold in order to complete the acquisitfm described
<br />in the Resolution of Intention, adopted by this City Council, formerly known as
<br />the Board of Trustees, in the said proceedtng~on the 18th day of July, 1927, is
<br />She sum of Twenty-four Thousand, Five Hundred Forty and 19/lO0 Dollars (~2~,840.1~
<br />and it is the intention of this City Council to order that bon~s of said district
<br />be issued and sold in said amount for that purpose.

<br /> NOW, T~REFORE, be it resolved by the City Co~cll of the City of Santa
<br />Aha as follows, to-wit:

<br /> That Nonday, the 28th day of November, 1928, at the hour of 7:$0 otcloc~
<br />P.~I. is the time, and the Chambers of the City Council of the City of Santa
<br />in the City Hall of the City of Santa Ana, State of California, is the place here-
<br />by fixed for a hearing upon the issuance of bonds in the total amount of Twenty-
<br />fou~ Thousand, Five Hundred ¥o~ty and 19/lO0 Dollars (~2~,540.19) against the
<br />lands in the Assessment District in Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1
<br />of the City of Santa Ana, for the purpose of obtaining t]~ amount required to pay
<br />the respective interlocutory judgments in the action brought to condemn the
<br />property sought to be taken, all costs and expense~ chargeable to the Plaintiff
<br />in sai~ action, and all incidental expenses incurred in the proceedings for the
<br />above named district, and for the purpose of furnishing an opportunity to all
<br />persons owning lands within said District, or otherwise interested, and feeling
<br />aggrieved by any act or determination done or made in the proceedings for said
<br />dlstr~ct, or claiming that any of the previous acts or determinations or proceed-
<br />ings are irregular, defective, erroneous or faulty, or having any objections to
<br />offer or any reason to advance w~ said bonds should not be issued and sold in
<br />said amount, and for said purpose, to appear before this City Council and be
<br />heard upon any of the above mentioned matters.

<br /> Said bonds, proposed to be issued in the amo~mt and for the purposes
<br />aforesaid, will be issued under and in pursuance of the provisions of the
<br />Ac$~isltion and Improvement Act of 192~, and amendments thereto, and shall bear
<br />interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum, payable semi-annually, and the
