RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 2212 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, in open session, at a <br />regular meeting thereof, on the 7th day of July, 1930, publicly open, examine and <br />declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work, under Resolution of <br />Intention No. 2201, in the City of Santa Ana, t~-wit: <br /> <br /> That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall <br />be done and improvements shall be made as hereinafter set forth are upon and along <br />those open public streets commonly known as and called Shelton Street between the center <br />line of First Street and the center line of Fairview Avenue; First Street between a line <br />drawn parallel t.o end distant five (.5) feet West of the westerly line of Shelton Street <br />and a line drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet East of the Easterly line of <br />Shelton Street; Walnut Street between the easterly line of Shelton Street and a line <br />drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet east of the easterly line of Shelton Street; <br />Pine Street between the easterly line of Shelton Street as it exists north of Pine <br />Street and a line drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet east of the said easterly <br />line of Shelton Street. <br /> <br /> That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the here- <br />inbefore described portions of said streets in accordance with the plans and specific- <br />ations therefor as hereinafter mentioned shall, be as follows: <br /> <br /> That Shelton Street between First Street and Pine Street shall be graded and <br />paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from the westerly curb line to the easterly <br />property line of said Shelton Street; that Shelton Street between Pine Street and <br />Myrtle Street shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from curb line <br />to curb line and where cross streets or alleys intersect the grading and paving shall <br />extend back of the curb line to the extended property lines of said street, and at driv. <br />way locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street <br />side of the sidewalk; that Shelton Street between Myrtle Street and Highland Street <br />shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from the easterly curb line <br />to a line drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet west of the center line of said <br />Shelton Street and where cross streets intersect the grading and paving shall extend <br />back of the curb line to the extended property lines of said street, and at driveway <br />locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street side <br />of the sidewalk; that Shelton Street between Highland Street and Fairview Avenue shall <br />be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement between lines drawn parallel to <br />and distant ten (10) feet east and west respectively from the center line of said Shelt. <br />Street; excepting from all of the above described work any work already done to the <br />official grade; all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of Portland cement concrete curbs upon <br />and along the hereinbefore described portions of streets where'curbs are shown on the <br />plans to be constructed, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the <br />plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks <br />upon and along the hereinbefore described portions of streets where sidewalks a~e shown <br />on the plans to be constructed, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with <br />the plans and s~ecifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe main <br />sanitary sewer, together with flush tank and manhole, and all other necessary appurt- <br />enances thereto on said Shelton Street from and connecting with the existing manhole <br />at Cubbon Street northerly a distance of 570 feet, and also the construction of standar~ <br />concrete manholes at locations and grades on the existing sewer main upon said street, <br />all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications <br />hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe house <br />connecting sewers, together with all eighth bends, disc seals and other necessary <br />appurtenances thereto on said Shelton Street, at depths and locations all as particular~ <br />indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of copper house service water connections, <br />including all connections, fittings, cocks and other necessary appurtenances thereto upo~ <br />and along the hereinbefore described portions of Shelton Street, from and connecting <br />with the existing water main to points one (1) foot back of the curb or of such <br />dimensions and at such locations as are particularly indicated on and in accord,~nce with <br />the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of wrought iron pipe gas main upon and <br />along portions of said Shelton Street at such locations and depths as are particularly <br />indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications he~einafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of wrought iron pipe gas service house <br />conn~ections, including all cocks, fittings and appurtenances thereto from the gas main <br />to be installed at right angles thereto and extending to the property lines, at such <br />locations and depths as are particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans <br />and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> Together with such other work and improvements as are noted on the plans or <br />specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work and <br />improvements, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor. <br /> <br /> The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishings of all <br />labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenant to the construction and <br />completion of all work herein specified. <br /> <br /> <br />
