RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> .WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on the 23rd day of
<br />June, 1930,'passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2208, to order the hereinafter
<br />described work to be d~ne and improvement to be made in, on and along portions of
<br />First Street, Main Street, Bush Street, Cypress Avenue, Spurgeon Street, Orange
<br />Avenue, French Street~ Maple Street, 0ak'Street, Hickory Street, Lacy Street~
<br />Halladay Street, Garfield Street, Cedar Street, Evergreen Street and Minnie
<br />
<br />Street, which Re~lution of Intention No. 2208 was duly and legally published twice
<br />in the Santa Aha Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated
<br />in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of
<br />W, Lee Millis, principal clerk of the printers and publishers of said daily news-
<br />paper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of
<br />Santa Ana, on the 27th day of June, 1930; and
<br />
<br /> V~HEREAS, after the pass~ge and adoption of said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. 2208, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted
<br />along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three
<br />hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and 66 in all, notices of the passage of said
<br />Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT, in the manner, form and
<br />substance as required by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district, also
<br />conspicuously posted copies of said notice along all of the open streets within
<br />such district at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, as
<br />appears from the affidavit of C. L. Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who
<br />personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, cormnenced
<br />to post said notices on the 2nd day of July, 1930, and fully completed the posting
<br />thereof on the 2nd day of July, 1930, more than ten (10) days before the date set
<br />for hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improvement, all as
<br />appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superintendent of the City of
<br />Santa Ana, filed in the office of the Clerk of said City on the 3rd day of July,
<br />1930, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularly
<br />in session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of V:30 o'clock P.M. on
<br />Monday, the 14th day of July, 1930, being the time, hour and place named in the
<br />Hesolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all
<br />persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before
<br />the City Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in
<br />accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 2208; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of~
<br />overruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed
<br />work done and improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha that
<br />the public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made
<br />partieularly set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No.2208~ which is
<br />dated the 23rd day of:June, 1930, on file in the office of the Clerk o£ said City
