RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby reject all of said proposals er <br />bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said <br />work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: H. C. REID AND COMPANY <br />at the prices named in their bid as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Item No. 1. The grading to a subgrade and the laying thereon of a Portland <br />Cement Concrete pavement having a total thickness of six (6) inches, complete with the <br />furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Twenty and <br />one-half cents ($.208) per square foot. <br /> <br /> Item No. 2. The excavation for and the construction of Portland cement <br />concrete curbs, complete with the furnishi~n~ of all necessary equipment, labor and <br />material for the sum of forty-eight cents (~.48) per linear foot. <br /> <br />Item No. 3. The excavation for and the construction of Portland cement <br />~oncrete sidewalks having a total thickness of four (4) inches, complete with the <br />furnishing of all necessary equipment labor and material for the sum of Thirteen <br />cents ($.13) per square foot. ' ~ <br /> <br /> Item No. 4. The excavation for and the construction of Portland cement <br />concrete sidewalks having a total thickness cf five (5) inches, complete with the furn- <br />ishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Fourteen cents <br />($.14~ per square foot. <br /> <br /> Item No. 8. The trenching, furnishing and relaying of existing sewer lateral <br />complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sun <br />of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) each. <br /> <br /> Item No. 6. The trenching, lowering and laying c~ fcttr (4) inch diameter <br />vitrified clay pipe house connecting sewer extensions complete with the furnishing of <br />all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per <br />linear foot. <br /> <br /> Item No. 7. The furnishing and installing of all necessary conduits, cables <br />ground connections, making the necessary connections to the service point, the <br />replacement or repair of all sidewalk, curb, paving, sewers, pipe lines, conduits, <br />culverts, cut or damaged during construction~ complete with the furnishing cf all <br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Six Thousand, five hu~dred <br />eighty dollars ($6,880.00) complete. <br /> <br /> Item No. 8. The furnishing, construction and installing of all necessary <br />concrete foundations, anchor bolts, ornamental double light standards, wiring, lamps, <br />globes and all other necessary items above ground, including the painting of standards <br />and units, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material <br />for the sum of Ten Thousand, three hundred fifty dollars ($10,380.00) for all standards <br />complete. <br /> <br /> Item No. 9. The moving o2 two (2) existing double light standards to new <br />loc%~tions shown on the plans together with the necessary replacement of concrete <br />foundations, conduit, cable, and reinstallations of standards, complete with the furn- <br />ishing cf all equipment, labor and material for the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.0~ <br />per standard complete. <br /> <br /> Item No. 10. The excavation f~r and construction of railtop reinforced con- <br />crete culvert according to detail f6F Culvert No. $ complete with the furnishing of all <br />necessary equipment, labor and materzal for the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1,200.0 <br />complete. <br /> <br /> Item No. ll. The excavation for and the construction of rail top reinforced <br />concrete culvert extension according to details for Culvert No. 2, complete with the <br />furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Three <br />Hundred Dollars ($300.00) complete. <br /> <br /> Item No. 12. The excavation for and the construction of reinforced concrete <br />culvert according to details for Culvert No. 3, complete with the furnishing of all <br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) <br />complete. <br /> <br /> Item Ne. 13. The excavation for and const~ction of reinforced concrete <br />culvert according to de,ails for Culvert No. 6 complete with the furnishing of all <br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of One Hundred Twenty-five dollars <br />($125.00) complete. <br /> <br /> The Clerk of the City of Santa Ana is hereby directed to post a notice of <br />this award conspicuously for five (8) days on or near the door of the Council Chamber <br />of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, and also publish said notice twice in <br />the Santa Aha Daily E~ening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in <br />the City of Santa Ana, and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a full~ true and correct <br />copy of Resolution of Award No. 2221, duly introduced and regularly passed by the City <br /> <br /> <br />
