RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 2225

<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on the 21st day of July,
<br /> 1930, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2218 to order the hereinafter described
<br /> work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along portions of those open publi
<br /> streets in said City, commonly known as and called Patton Street, St. Andrew's Place,
<br /> Broadway, Sycamore Street, Birch Street and Ross Street, which Resolution of Intention
<br /> No. 2218 was duly and legally published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register,
<br /> daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, all as required by
<br /> law, as appears from the affidavit of W. Lee Nillis, principal clerk of the printers an
<br /> publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the
<br /> Clerk of the City of Santa Ana, on the 25th day of July, 1930; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br />2218, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha conspicuously posted along the
<br />line of the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three
<br />hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and 35 in all, notices of the passage of said
<br />Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF II~PROV~MENT~ in the manner~ form and substanc
<br />as required by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously
<br />posted copies of said notice along all of the open streets within such district at not
<br />more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of
<br />C.L.Jenken~ said Street Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improve-
<br />ment; and
<br />
<br /> ~HEREAS~ the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, commenced to
<br />post s~id notices on the 1st day of August, 1930, and fully completed the posting
<br />thereof on the 1st day of August, 193~, more than ten (10) days before the date set for
<br />hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improvement, all as appears from
<br />the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, filed in
<br />the office of the Clerk of said City on the 1st day of August, 1930, and now on file
<br />therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularly in
<br />session at the CoUncil Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the
<br />llth day o£ August, 1930, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of
<br />Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any
<br />objection to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the City Council and
<br />show cause why said proposed ~ork should not be carried out in accordance with said
<br />Resolution of Intention No. 2218; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS~ all protests or objections presented having bee= disposed of, over-
<br />ruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City Council
<br />of the City of Santa Ana having acquired Jurisdiction to order the proposed work and
<br />improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana that the
<br />public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made particularly
<br />set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2218, which is dated the 21st
<br />day of July~ 1930, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City and hereby referred
<br />to and made a part hereof, and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders
<br />the work to be done and improvement to be made in said C~ty~ as particularly set forth
<br />and described in the said Resolution of Intention No. 2218 as aforesaid.
