IN THE MATTER OF ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> NO. 8, OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2239. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions <br />of the Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925, as amended, do resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and necessity require, and it is <br />the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, to order <br />the following acquisitions for the opening and widening of portions of Flower <br />Street between Walnut Street and Seventeenth Street in the said City of Santa Aha, <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> The acquisition of the necessary parcels of land to widen Flower Street <br />to a variable width from a point forty (40) feet south of the south line'of First <br />Street to a point forty (40) feet North of the North line of First Street. <br /> <br /> The opening of Flower Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street to <br />a total width of sixty (60) feet, measured thirty (30) feet on each side of a <br />line drawn from the point of intersection of the center line of Fifth Street with <br />the center line of Flower Street as it now exists South of Fifth Street, to a <br />point on the center line of Sixth Street distant 309.60 feet Westerly from the <br />intersection of the center lines of Sixth and Garnsey Streetsj <br /> <br /> The widening of Flower Street between Washington Avenue and Seventeenth <br />Street by the acquisition of a strip of land seventy (70) feet in width, and <br />being thirty-five (35) feet on each side of the center line of Flower Street, as <br />established by a straight line drawn between the point of intersection of the <br />center lines of Washington Avenue and Flower Street, as it exists Southerly from <br />Washington Avenue, to the point of intersection of the center lines of Seventeenth <br />Street and Flower Street, as it exists Northerly from Seventeenth Street, except- <br />ing therefrom any portion thereof which is now occupied by a public street. <br /> <br /> That the property necessary to be taken for the acquisition, openi~g <br />and widening of those portions of Flower Street described above includes all <br />those parcels of land situated in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State <br />of California, and particularly described as follows, t~-wit: <br /> <br /> Parcel No. 1. A portion of the following described parcel of <br />land: The North 128 feet of the following described property: <br />Beginning at a point on the North line of Lot i in Block "P" of the Heil <br />Tract, as per map thereof recorded in Book 23, page 28 of Miscellaneous <br />Records of Los Angeles County, California, said point being 13.5 feet <br />West of the Northeast corner of saiA Lot l; running thence West a~ong <br />the North line of Lots i and 2 in said Block "P" 60 feet; thence South <br />2?0 feet through said Lot 2 and Lot 23 to a point on the South line of <br />said Lot 23 which is 12.92 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot <br />23; thence East along the South line of said Lot 23 and Lot 24 of said <br />Block "P" 60 feet to a point which is distant 12.92 feet West of the South- <br />east corner of said LOt 24; thence North 270 feet to the place of beginning <br />and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the <br />Northerly line of said Lot l, said point being distant 13.71 feet Easterly <br />from the Northwesterly corner thereof; thence Easterly along the Northerly <br />line of said LOt i to an intersection with the Westerly line of Flower <br />Street; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of Flower Street 40.00 <br />feet to a point; thence Northwesterly along a curve tangent to said Westerly <br />line of Flower Street and whose radius is 67 feet a distance of 31.67 feet <br />to ~ point of compound curve; thence continuing Northwesterly along a <br />curve whose radius is 17.23 feet a distance of 19.OB feet to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br /> Parcel No. 2. A portion of the following described parcel of land: <br />Lot Six (6) in Block "K" of the Ross Addition, as per map thereof recorded <br />in Book ~, pages 684 and 6J6 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles <br />County, California, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning <br />at the southwesterly corner of said LOt 6; thence Northerly along the <br />Westerly line thereof forty (40) feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along <br />a curve tangent to said Westerly line and whose radius is 87 feet a distance <br />of 31.57 feet to a point of compound curve; thence continuing Southeasterly <br />along a curve whose radius is 17.72 feet a distance of 19.41 feet to its <br />point of tangency with the Southerly line of said Lot 6; thence Westerly <br />along the Southerly line of said Lot 6 to the point of beEinning. <br /> <br /> Parcel No. 3. All of the following described parcel of land: <br />That portion of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana, as per map thereof recorded <br />in Book 3, pages 834 and 6J5 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, <br />California, formerly included in Orange Street, now Flower Street, and <br />described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot l0 in Block <br />"P" of the said Ross Addition to Santa Ana; thence East on the North line <br />of Fifth Street, 55 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of said <br />Block "P" 12S feet, more or less, to the South line of tract conveyed by <br />Sarah E. Felt to G. A. Whitney and wife, recorded in Book 189, page 292 of <br />Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence West on the South line of said <br />Tract, $5 feet; thence South on the East line of said Block "P" 126 feet to <br />the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Parcel No. 4. All of the following described parcel of land: <br />That portion of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana, as per map thereof recorded <br />in Book 3, pages 634 and 636 of Miscellaneous Records of LOs Angeles County, <br /> <br /> <br />
