RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2248

<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA,
<br />DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDEH THE CLOSING UP AND
<br />ABANDONMENT OF FLOHENCE AVENUE, FOR ITS ENTIRE LENGTH, HERE-
<br />TOFORE DEDICATkD FOR STREET PURPOSES TO THE CITY OF SANTA
<br />ANA; DECLARING IT TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE,
<br />AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID
<br />PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT.

<br /> The City Council of
<br />Act of the Legislature of the
<br />1889% approved March 6, 1889,
<br />
<br />the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions of au
<br />State of California, known as "Street Opening Act of
<br />and amendments thereto, do resolve aud declare as follows
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires the closing up
<br />and abandonment of Florence Avenue, for its entire length, dedicated for street purposes
<br />as hereinafter described in the City of Santa Aha, California, and it is the intention
<br />of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana to order Florence Avenue to be closed up
<br />and abandoned as follows, to-wit:

<br /> Florence Avenue, for its entire length, lying between
<br /> F~uit Street and Washington Avenue (formerly known as and
<br /> called Thirteenth Street) as shown on Dea~ts Addition to the
<br /> Town of Santa Aha, reeorded in MiscellaneOus Records, Book 22,
<br /> Page 100, Records of Los A~eles County, California.
<br />
<br />all of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana for said abandonment, by Resolution No. 2247 on the
<br />14th day of October, 1930.

<br /> Seetlon 2. That the said City Council of the said City of Santa Aha does
<br />further declare that the lots, lands or premises affected by the closing up and abandon-
<br />ment of the hereinbefore described Florence Avenue, and benefited by said improvement,
<br />are Lots One (1) to Twenty-three (23) inclusive, in Blocks "A" and "B" of Dean's
<br />Addition to the Town of Santa Aha, recorded in Miscellaneous Records, Book 22, Page
<br />Records of Los Angeles County, California.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the proceedings for the closing up of the aforesaid Florence
<br />Avenue shall be had and taken under and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of
<br />the State of California, designated and known as "An Act to provide for laying out,
<br />opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in whole or in part, of any
<br />street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, to condemn and
<br />acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose", approve,
<br />March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously posted
<br />along the line of said contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred
<br />(300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the passage
<br />of this Resolution, in the forva and manner as required by law; he shall also cause a
<br />notice similar in substance, for a period of ten (lC) days, to be published in the
<br />Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated and of
<br />general circulation in the City of Santa Ana, California, and hereby designated for
<br />that purpose by the City Council, containing a statement of the fact of the passage of
<br />this Resolution of Intention, the date thereof, and briefly describing the work or
<br />improvement proposed, and referring to this Resolution for further particulars.
<br />
<br /> Section $. That any person interested objecting to said work or improvement,
<br />or to t~e extent of the District or lands to be affected or benefited by said work and
<br />improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, may make written
<br />
