RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT <br /> NO. 2255 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa. Ana on the 14th day of <br /> October, 1930, passed its Hesolution of Intention No. 2248 to order the hereinaft~ <br /> described improvement to be made and public work to be done in the City of Santa <br /> Ana; and <br /> <br /> .WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of Resolution of Intention No. <br />2248 the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted <br />along the line of the contemplated work and improvement at not more than three <br />hundred (300) feet in distance apart and 4 in. all, notices of the passage of said <br />Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK, in the manner, form and <br />substance as required by law, and said Street Superintendent also caused a <br />notice similar in substance to be published for a period of ten (10) days in the <br />Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in <br />the City of Santa Aha, and named by said City Council in said Resolution of <br />Intention as the paper in which said notice should appear, all as appears from <br />the affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal Clerk of the printers and publishers of <br />said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of <br />the City of Santa Ana, on the S5th day of October, 1930, and is now on file <br />therein; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha comuenced <br />the posting of the notices hereinbefore referred to on the 15th day of October, <br />1930, and fully completed the posting thereof on the 15th day of October, 1930, <br />as appears from the affidavit of Clyde L. Jenken, Street Superintendent of the <br />City of Santa Aha, and more than ten (10) days having expired after the expiratio~ <br />of the time of the m~lication of said notice within which protests or objections <br />to the proposed work or improvement might be made by any person interested object- <br />ing to said work or improvement, or to the extent of the district or lands to be <br />affected or benefited by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the <br />costs and expenses thereof; and <br /> <br /> 'A~EREAS, at the next meeting of the City Council after the expiration <br />of said ten days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said <br />notice, and no objection to said work or improvement having been made or on file, <br />why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said <br />Resolution of Intentiou, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana having now <br />acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement; <br /> <br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERI~D: That the public interest and <br />convenience requires the work hereinafter described and the City Codicil of the <br />City of Santa Aha hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement mad~ <br />in the City of Santa Ana~ as follows: <br /> <br /> That Florence Avenue as hereinafter described in the City of Santa Aha <br />be closed up and abandoned, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Florence Avenue, for its entire length, lying between <br /> Fruit Street and Washington Avenue (formerly known as and called <br /> Thirteenth Street) as sho~m on Dean's A~!dition to the Town of Santa <br /> Aha, recorded in ~isceltaneous Records, Book 22, Page 1©0, l~ecords <br /> of Los Angeles County, California. <br /> <br /> <br />
