RESOLUTION No. 2294 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA AMA, CALIFORNIA, RELATINGTO THE ISSUANCE <br /> OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS, PURSUANTTO~RESOLUTION <br /> OF INTENTION NO. 2218; DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF <br /> U~PAID ASSESSMENTS, PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION OF <br /> SUCH BONDS; AND PROVIDING FOR T~LEtR ISSUANCEIN <br /> ANNUAL SERIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of filing l~t of unpaid assessment~ <br />~as duly given in the manner and form required by law, that the~warrant, assessment <br />and diagram was recorded on the 13th day of January, !931, for the work ~ud <br />improvement made bY P. 0. Janichunder that certain contract awarded to him on the <br />25th day of August, 1930, upon portions of ParSon Street, St. Andrew's Place, <br />Sycamore Street, Broadway, Birch Street and Ross Street, ~s set forth in Resolutio <br />of Intention No. 2218; and that said warrant, assessment and diagram were returned <br />to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with a w~itten ststement of al~ <br />payments received upon the said assessment; and after.the full expiration of <br />thirty (30) days after the recording of said warrant, the said Street Superintendex <br />duly made and filed with the City Clerk of said City Qf Santa Ana, a complete list <br />of all assessments unpaid upon the said Assessment, which list is now on file in <br />the 8ffice of the City Clerk of said City; now upon evidence shown, this City <br />Council determines that the assessments therein menti0nedwere then unpaid, the <br />total aggregate thereof being t~e sum of Forty-seven thousand five hUndred eighty- <br />two and 52/100 Dollars ($47,582.52), ~nd that there has been paid since the filing <br />of the list of unpaid assessments by the Street Superintendent the following asses~ <br />ment, to-wit: Assessment No. 2S0 for $2.~6, and that there now remains unpaid the <br />sum of Forty-seven thousand five hundred eighty and 16/100 Dollars ($47,580.16), <br />upon the assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 2218 of the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Aha, passed on the 21st day of July, 19J0, for a <br />complete description of the work herein mentioned, ~and to the list of unpaid assess <br />merits filed as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner required by law <br />to appear before the City Council in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said <br />City at the hour of 7:30 o~clock P.M. on Monday, the 2nd day of March, 19J1, and <br />show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assess- <br />ments shown on the Street Superintendent~s list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form required by law, <br />that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bearing interest at the rate of <br />six percent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the <br />"Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of which bonds shall mature ni <br />years from the 2nd day of July, next succeeding ten (10) months from their date, <br />and all interested persons having appeared before this City Council and having been <br />given a full opportunity to show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the <br />security of the unpaid assesmments shown on said list, and all objections presente~ <br />having been heard and considered. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE NOW BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />DETERMINED, RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That no cause has been shown why bonds should not be issued upon the <br /> <br />.t <br /> <br />~e <br /> <br /> <br />
