215 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2306 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 4 ~as been passed by both Houses of the Legislature <br /> and is now before the Governor for his signature; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Bill brings to the City of Huntington Beach the tide lands withir <br />its City Limits and will permit the City of Huntington Beach to offset the seventeen <br />producing.oil wells now owned by the Standard 0il Company which are draining oil from <br />under the City ~and; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the consensus of opinion of this City Council that the City of <br /> & <br />Huntington Beach should have the power to protect the public from being deprived of its <br />natural resources by private interests and that they should be permitted to drill <br />offset wells upon their own tide lands, and that they should be the owners of their <br />own tide lands: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />that the Honorable James Rolph, Jr., Governor of the State of California, be petitioned <br />to act favorably upon this Bill, and that a copy of this Hesolution be ~orthwith <br />transmitted to the said Governor for the purpose of advising him of our action and <br />sentiments thereon. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, at a regular adjourned meeting <br />thereof held on the 25th day of Nay, 19Z1, by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> <br />AYES, TRUSTEES: <br /> <br />NOES, TRUSTEES: <br /> <br />ABSENT, TRUSTEES: <br /> <br />E.G.Warner, Paul B.
