<br />A RESOLUTION OF TRE ~ITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF
<br />SANTA ANA DECLARING ITS INT~TION TO ORDER THE
<br />CLOSING UP AND ABANDONNENT OF A PORTION O1~
<br />HELIOTROPE DRIVE HERETOFORE DEDICATED FOR STREET
<br />PURPOSES TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA; DECLARING IT
<br />TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE, AND
<br />FIXING THE TINE AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF OBJECT-
<br />IONS TO SAID PROPOSED IMPROVENENT.

<br /> The City Council of the City of Sauta Ana, pursuant to the provisions of an
<br /> Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known as "Street Opening Act of
<br /> 1889", approved March 8, 1889 and amendments thereto, do resolve and declare as
<br /> follows:
<br />
<br /> Section l: That the public interest and convenience require the closing up
<br />and abandonment of a portion of Heliotrope Drive, hereinafter described, dedicated for
<br />street purposes to the City of Santa Aua, California, and it is the intention of the
<br />City Council of the City of Santa Aha to order that portion of Heliotrope Drive to be
<br />closed up and abandoned as follows, to-wit: Ail of the north 424 feet of Heliotrope
<br />Drive as shown on Tract No. lOlO as per map thereof.recorded in Book 33, page 15,
<br />Miscellaneous Naps, Records of Orange County, California, not included within Heliotrop~
<br />Drive as shown on Tract No. 1035 as per map thereof recorded in Book 33, page 48,
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California;
<br />
<br /> Section 9.: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does ~urther
<br />declare that the exterior boundaries of the district of lands to be affected or
<br />benefited by said work of improvement, to-wit., the closing up and abandonment of the
<br />hereinbefore described portion of Heliotrope Drive are the exterior boundariee of Tract
<br />No. 1035 as shown on a map ~thereof, recorded in Book 33, page 48, Miscellaneous Maps,
<br />Records of 0rm~ge County, California. That no lands will be assessed to pay any
<br />damages, costs or expenses of this proceeding.

<br /> Section 3: That the proceedings for thB closing up of the aforesaid portion
<br />of Heliotrope Drive shall be had and taken under and in accordance with an Act of the
<br />Legislature of the State of'California, dedicated and known as "An Act to provide for
<br />the laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up in whole or
<br />in part of any street, square, lane, alley, court, or place within municipalities, to
<br />condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary and convenient for that
<br />purpose", approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto.

<br /> Section 4: The ~treet Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously posted
<br />along the line of said contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundre~
<br />(300) feet in distance apart, but not less than thl~ee in all, notices of the passage
<br />of this resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; he shall also cause a
<br />notice similar in substance for a period of ten days to be published in the Orange
<br />County Reporter, a daily newspaper published and circulated and of general circulation
<br />in the City of Santa Aha, California, and hereby designated for that purpose by the
<br />City Council, containing a statement of the fact of the passage of this Resolution of
<br />Intention, the date thereof and briefly describing the work or improvement proposed, an~
<br />referring to this Resolution for further particulars;
<br />
<br /> Section $: That any person interested, objecting to said work or improvement
<br />or to the extent of the district of lands to be affected or benefited by said work or
<br />improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses ~hereof, may make written
<br />
