RESOLUTION NO. 2602 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE 0IL LEASE BE IT RESOEYED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOW~: That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to enter into an indenture of lease for the production of oil upon that certain real property belonging to the City of Santa Aua and situate in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the N.W. Cor. of the S.E. 1/A of the S.W. 1/~ of Section 18, T. § S., R. l0 W., S.B.B.&.M.; thence ~outh along the West boundary line of the property of the City of Santa Aha, 1320 ft., more or less, to the S.W. Cor. of said S.E. 1/~ of the S.W. 1/4 of Section 15; ~thence continuin~ South along the West line of the N.E. 1/4 of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 22, T. § S., R. 10 W., S.B.B.&.M., a distance of 960 ft., more or less, to an intersection with the Westerly boundary line of the Newbert Protection District right-of-way easement for the Santa Aha River; thence North Easterly along said Westerly boundary line of the said Newbert Protection District easement to an intersection with the North llne of the S.E. 1/4 of the S.W. 1/4 of said Section 15; thence West in a direct line to the point of beginning. Containing 14.3 acres, more or less. Provided, however, that the form submitted to the City Council is changed so as to provide that the City of Santa Aha shall be protected against any and all~ liability for any operations conducted upon said property, and Provided, further, that the provisions for notice of default be changed from ninety (90) days to sixty (80) days, and Provided, further, that said lease as finally prepared shall be subject to the approval of the City Attorney aa to form.
