RESOLUTION N0. 2822 RESOLUTION 0F II~TENTIOI,~ TO SELL REAL PROPERTY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: THAT, W~REAS, the City of Santa Ana is the owner of that certain real property hereinafter described, and, WHEHEAS, the various parcels hereinafter described consist of certain lots and parcels of land within the City of Santa Ana, which said property has been acquired by the City of Santa Ana, by deed and/or purchase from the owners of the f~e title thereto and/or from the County Tax Collector of the County of Orange, State of California, under the provisions of the Statutes of the State of California, in such cases made and provided, and V~IEREAS, the City of Santa Aha has no use for said property or any thereof for public purposes, and it is the opinion of the City Council that said property should be sold and conveyed into private ovmership in order that the same may again be placed upon the tax rolls of the City of Santa Ana, and WHEREAS, an offer has been made for 'the purchase of said parcels by private individuals, and an opportunity has arisen to sell the same into private ownership I NOW, THEHEFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does hereby declare that it intends to and will at a regular ~eting of said Council to be held on the 5th day of August, 1940, sell its right, title and interest in and to said property at the price hereinaftor set forth immediately following the descriptions of said parcels to the person who has offered in v~iting to purchase the same at said price, unless at said meeting the City Council shall receive a bid for said parcels at least ten per cent (10%) in excess of said bid, in which event said property will be sold to the highest bidder for cash at said meeting, and the ~ayor and City Clerk will tb~reupon be directed to make, execute and deliver a quit-claim deed to such property to the said highest bidder upon receipt of the amount of said bid.
