RESOLUTION ~0. 2831 RESOLUTION ADOPTING BUDGET FOR FISCAL TEAR 1940-1941. BE IT RESOLVED BY ~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the several elective and appointive officers of the City of Santa ~na, and the several depsrtments thereof, have filed with the City Auditor of the said City, itemized estimates showing the probable revenue from sources other than taxation, and estimates showing the probab~ expenditures which will be required by the several departments, offices, services and commissions of the City of Santa Aha for the fiscal year 1940-1941, and WHEREAS, the said City Auditor has ~esented said estimates to the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, a~d said City Council has considered the same and made such changes and alterations therein as by them were deemed necess~ry a~d~roper, and W~REAS~ the said City Auditor, under a~ pursuant to direotiom of this City Council, has prepared a tabulation of estimated income and revenue and expenditures which probably will accrue and be necessary during the fiscal year 1940-1941, for the conduct of the affairs of the City of Santa Aha, and such estimate of income and expenditures has allowed a certain sum not exceeding ten (10%) per cent of the total amount of estimated expenditure and income to remain in an unappropriated reserve to be utilized and be available for appropriation and expenditures that have not been provided for, or for unforseen requirements as they may arise; NCW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby approve and adopt that certain tabulation hereinabove referred to a s the "Budget for the City of Santa Aha for the Fiscal Year 1940-1941", copies of which budget are on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in the office of the City Auditor of the City of Santa Ana, and the City Council does hereby further declare that the amounts set forth in the several items of said budget shall in general control the expenditures of the City of Santa Ana in the various offtces~ 'departments a~d functions of the City of Santa Ama, provided that the City Council ma~y ~ a four-fifths vote of the members thereof~ at any meeting by minute order, change or alter the terms thereof, or may appropriate any portion of the unbudgeted reserve to any particular office, department or function as may at that time appear to be necessary or propere PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of 3anta Aha at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 5th day of August, 1940e ATTEST: E.
