RESOLUTION N0. 2849 RESO]SUTION SELLING AND DIRECTING CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY TO NYLtN HURD WREREAS, the City of Santa Ana has acquired from the County Tax Collecto~ of the County of Orange, a deed to the hereinafter described property~ and WNEREAS, the ~Grantee herein has agreed to cause the owner of the fee title t~o ~sai~ here%'nafter d~escribed ~property., prior to the sale of said property to the State of California, to convey to said City by deed sufficient to clear the record title to said property and place the title thereto in said City f~ee of all encumbrances of every nature, except rights of way~ easements, condittons~ restrictions end reserv, atipns of record~ and WHEREAS, the City has been unable to acquire a clear record title to said property except by virtue cf the efforts and considerations put forth by Nylin Hurd who has been instrumental in obtaining quitclaim deeds fr°m the origina~ owners of said property, and by so ~olng has removed a possible or apparent cloud against the title to said property and without such aid and assistance and consideration~ this City would be required to expend considerable money and incur expense in clearLug such record title, and WHEHEAS~ the said record owners have heretofore conveyed said property to the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Santa Aha resolves as follows That it is the opinion and Judgment of the City ~Council that the con- sideration hereinafter referred to for the purchase of the real property heretnafte~ de.scribed is in all respects fair, Just and adequate, and that the best interests of said City will be served by the execution and delivery of a deed to said property from the City of Santa Ana, and that the said City of Santa Ana has no use for 8$t~,eal property so proposed to be sold hereunder, and that it is for the benefit of said City that said property be sold; NOW, THEREFORE~ the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Santa Aha are hereby directed to execute and deliver to NY~IN HoHD a deed to that certain real property situate in the City of Santa Ana~ County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Lot Four (4) in Block Twenty (20) in Tract No. 3~2, as per map ~hereof reccr~led in Book 15~ pages 15 and 16 of Miscellaneous Maps~ Records of Orange County, California~ upon receipt by the City of the stun of Two Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($225.00) as full consideration for the said deed.
