RESOLUTION FOR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY <br /> <br /> S62 <br /> <br />HE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />THAT, WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is the owner of that certain real <br /> <br />property hereinafter described, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has no use for said property or any <br /> <br />thereof for public purposes, and it is the opinion of the City Council that said <br /> <br />property should be sold and conveyed into private ownership in order that the same <br /> <br />may again be placed upon the tax rolls of the City of Santa Aha and in order that <br /> <br />the regular development of city streets should be accomplished, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an offer has been made by Samuel A. Marsden, an unmarried man, <br />to purchase the hereinafter described property and to convey to the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana certain other property for street purposes in payment therefor and to accept <br /> <br />certain other consideration for the balance of the purchase price of said property <br /> <br />so conveyed to the City of Santa Aha for street purposes, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to the best advantage of the City of <br /> <br />Sant~ Aha that said property be sold and exchanged for certain other property to <br /> <br />be conveyed to the City of Santa Ana and that certain additional consideration be <br />paid for said other property to be so conveyed to the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />The said property so to be sold and exchanged is described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the Northeasterly line of Broadway, <br />which point bears North 0° 331 15" East parallel with the <br />East line of the Southeast quarter (SE~) of Seotion 24, <br />Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B.&.M., a distance of~ <br />10.56 feet from a point in the South line of the North half <br />(N~) of the South half (S~) of the Southeast quarter (SE~) <br />of the Southeast quarter (SE~) of said Section 24, which <br />bears North 89° 201 37" West, a distance of 83.00 ~eet from <br />the Southeast corner of said North one-half (N~) of the <br />South one-half (S~); running thence from said point of <br />beginning North 0o 33~ 15" East along a line drawn parallel <br />to the East line of said Section2 4, a distance of 127.69 <br />feet to a point in the North line of the South 138.25 feet <br />of said North half (N~) of the South half (S~) of the South- <br />east quarter (SE~) of the Southeast quarter (SE~) of said <br />Section 24; running thence North 89° 20' 37" West along a <br />line drawn parallel to the South line of the above described <br />parcel of land a distance of l0 feet to a point; running <br />thence South 0° 33' 15" West along a line drawn parallel to <br />the East line of said Section 24, a distance of 123.66 feet <br />to a point in the Northeasterly line of Broadway; running <br />thence South 67o 26~ 45" East a distance of 10.78 feet to the <br />point of beginning. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby <br /> <br />authorized to execute a deed to the property above described to Samuel A. Marsden,i <br />an unmarried man, upon receipt by the City of Santa Ana of a deed to that certain <br /> <br />real property constituting an extension of South Broadway Southeasterly from <br /> <br />Anahurst Place to South Main Street. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, at its <br /> <br />regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1940. <br /> <br />Fred C.
