A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CONNENDING TWO SANTA ANA <br />YOUTHS UPON THEIR RECEIPT OF THE HIGHEST AWARD GIVEN IN <br /> THE BOY SCOUTS OF ANERIOA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Cou~t of Honor, Boy Scouts of America, to be <br />held Nay ~lst, 1946 at the Santa Aha High School Auditorium, two <br />Santa Aha boys, Francis Ca~stens and Danny ~{. Head are each to receive <br />the Eagle Scout Award, the highest award recognized in Scouting; <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Awamd is the culmination of from <br />four to five years of diligent work end training in scouting skills, <br />and means a boy progressing from the first rar~k of Tenderfoot up <br />through Second Class, First Class, Star, Life and finally to Eagle <br />Scout; <br /> AND WHEREAS, each step or class represents an advancement in <br /> the proficiency of citizenship, scholarship or skill in personal or <br /> public life, thereby equipping the boy with the Fullest accomplish- <br /> ments in good citizenship and self dependence; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT BESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br /> of Santa Aha, that Francis Carstens and Danny M. Head be congratulated <br /> and commended upon the successful completion of~eir diligent and <br /> untiring efforts resulting in their receiving the distinguished award <br /> of Eagle Scout; <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOL¥~u that this Resolution be spread upon <br /> the records of the City as an enduring record of this honor. <br /> called <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council at a special/meeting <br /> thereof held this ~lst day of ~ay, 1946. <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br /> <br />
