1. W~Lmt~AS, the State of California, under 0hapter 20, Statutes of 1956 (l~trst Extra Session), as amended, has appropriated funds for allotment to provide for financial assistance to Local Agemcies, defined therein as counties, cities and counties, or cities, so that they may engage in a large public works construction program in order to prevent and alleviate unemployment; and 2. Ig~E~EAS, the City of Santa Ama as contracting city for Section 1 of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement, hereinafter designated #Local Agencys desires to apply for an allotment of State aid for the construction of a public works project under sald Act$ and 3. W~A2, an applScatfon to the State Director of F~-~ce for such an allotment has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Bod.v for consideration; and WHEREAS, Local Agency has made provisions for paying that portion of the cost of the project not requested as an allotment from the State; 5- NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the afore- said application for State aid for construction of a~publ~i_c works project to the Director of Finance, requesting an allotment of ~,mxty one Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-five andn_o~100 Dollars ($~(~])or an ~llotment of sUCh amount as may be a~otted by the State Allocation Boar~; 6., BE IT ~u~THER RESOLVED, that Local Agency hereby certifies that the total estimate of cost to be paid for the conetruction of Booster Pumping Station and Sludge Digestion Tank for which Local Agency is making application under said Act is One Hundred Twenty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty and no/lOC Dollars ($122,930.00); and 7. BE IT FURTHER RESOLve. that Local Agency hereby requests the State to pay the Statels share of the total actual cost of construction of the project for which Local Agency is making application for aid; S. BE IT ~ETHERKESOLVED, that for the purpose of this requnst Ewald M. Lemcke, Engineer, Joint Outfall Sewer, City Ball, Anaheim, California be, and he hereby is, designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency, ~ud is hereby authorized and directed to sign the herein mentioned application of Local Agency and to submit the same to the Stets Director of Finance to- gether with a certified statement of the total estimated cost to be paid for construction of the project herein mentioned and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent t~ further authorized and directed as representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, with either the State Allocation Board or the Director of ~inance, including requewts for payment of the starers share of the cost of the construct- ion of the aforementioned public works project.
