RESOLUTION NO..~"~l <br />A RESOLUTIOi~ OF THE CITY COD-NCIL OF TRE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING <br />BOYD A. HERSI~T AS CHIEF OF POLICE TO FILL <br />THE UNEXPIRED TER~ OF GEORGE G. BOYD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, George G. Boyd, the regularly elected, qualified and <br />acting Chief of Policy for the City of Santa Aha, California, has hereto- <br />Fore tendered his resignation in w~iting as such Chief of Police, and said <br />resignation has been duly accepted by order of the City Council, thereby <br />creating a vacancy in said office; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appea~s that Boyd A. Hershey is a resident of the City <br />of Santa Ana and is fully qualified to fill such position; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Boyd A. Hershey be and he is <br />hereby appointed Chief of Police of the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />to fill such vacancy, and he shall hold such office until the next regular <br />election, according to law. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Boyd A. Hershey, as such Chief <br />of Police, shall receive such remuneration as has heretofore been fixed <br />by the City Council for said office. <br /> <br /> This Resolution shall take effect ~w~ediately. <br /> <br /> PASSED ~D ADOPTE~ by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, at a special meeting thereof held on the 27th day of <br />December, 1946. <br /> <br />ATTEST~ ~ <br /> City Cl'erk <br /> <br /> <br />
