INTENDENT TO AmATE THE PUBLIC NUISANCE HERETOFORE DECLARED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, TO~IT: ~.EDS WHICH BEAR SEEDS OF A WINGY OR DOWN~ NATURE ~ ATTAIN SUCH A LABGE GROWTH AS TO BECOME A FIRE MENACE WBEN DBX AND WHICH ARE NOXIOUS ~ DANGEROUS, GROWING UPON CERTAIN STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, BY HAVING THE WEEDS REFERP, F.D TO B~-~OVED, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~AWTA ANA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Pursuant to provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled #An Act AuthoD- izing Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous ~eeds Growing upon the Streets or sidewalks or Private Propex-ty within Munici- 'palltles to be a Public Nuisance, Creating a Lien upon the Property Fronting upon such Streets or Sidewalks or upon which such Nuisance Exists for the Cost of Abating the Same', approved May 26, 1915, and amendments thereto, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, having acquired jurisdiction so to do, hereby orders the Street Superintendent of said City to abate the public nuisance hereto- fore declared to exist in said City of Santa Aha, to-wit: ~eede which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry a-d which are noxious and dangerous, growing upon the streets or sidewalks in front of or upon all tha~ private property described in Resolution No. of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, passed and adopted on the 15th day of April, 1946, to which Resolution reference is /hereby ~ade for further particular description of said private proper~y. SECTION 2: Any property owner shall have the right to have any of said weeds removed at his own expense, providing the same is done prior to the arrival of the Street Superintendent or his representative to do the same. -1-
