RESOLUTION NO. 3694 P~ESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF A CERTAIN PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC NECESSITY OF SAID USE OF SAID REAL PROPERTY. WHEREAS, Grand Avenue as it now exists between First and Fourth Streets in the City of Santa Aha, is inadequate in width, condition and alignment to accommodate the present and future demands of traffic there- on and is below state highway width, and because thereof presents a pre- sent and continuing traffic hazard; and WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require that.the right of way of said Grand Avenue be widened and improved along its easterly side between said First and Fourth Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, and thatsaid City take or acquire the hereinafter described property in order to effect such widening and improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does hereby find and determine that the public interest and necessity require that Grand Avenue between First Street and Fourth Street, in the City of Santa Aha, be widened, improved and realigned to a varied width as shown on a map thereof now on file in the office of the City En- gineer and referred to for greater detail,~and that said public interest and necessity require that the City of Santa Ana do have and take and ac- quire all of the following described parcel of land in order to carry out said public improvement: The West l0 feet of Lot lO,.Block "C", Bartlett's Addition to the Town of Santa Ana, as per map thereof recorded in Book 13, Page ~5, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That!the City Attorney of Santa Ana be, and he is hereby, ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of ~ne City of Santa Aha in the Superior Oou~t of the State of California, in and for the County of Orange, for condemnation of the property necessary to be taken for the acquisition herein ordered and heretofore described, and Ac all things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
