? <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5724 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~THORIZING THE SIGNING OF CITT <br />WARRANTS BY SIGNATURE FACSINILEMACHINE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has acquired a machine for the <br /> purpose of affixing signatures to the city warrants and pay checks: <br /> <br /> NOW, TH~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha hereby approves the use of a signature facsimile <br />machine starting on January l, 1949, and directs that copies of the <br />signatures produced thereby be filed with the First National Bank <br />of Santa Aha ss they may direct, and designates the signatures pro- <br />duced by said machine/in the case of city warrants, the signature of <br />the president of the Board and the City Clerk, and in the case of pay- <br />roll checks drawn upon the pay roll account, the signatures of the <br />City Auditor and the City Clerk, be and the same are hereby declared <br />the official signatures for the signing of such city warrants and pay- <br />roll checks. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That any bank handling a Santa Aha <br />City account shall, upon request, be furnished with a specimen copy <br />of the signature produced by said machine; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the practice and method, the <br />preparation, making and signing of checks, shall be modified, amended, <br />or altered so that any city warrants or payroll checks from and after <br />the 1st. day of January, 19~9 shall be signed by the signature signing <br />machine now owned by the City of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of ..... <br /> <br />ATTEST:~ <br />CITY CLERK <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />( SEAL ) <br /> <br /> <br />
