RESOLUTION NO. 5783 Resolution Authorizing and Directing the City Clerk to Advertise for Bids for the Bleachers for the Santa Aha Municipal Bowl. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the receipt of sealed bids on proposals for the doing of the work specified in those certain Plans and Specifications adopted the 18th day of May, 1949, by this City Council for the Bleachers for the Santa Ana Municipal Bowl, which said advertisement shall be substautially in the following words and figures, to-wit: NOTICE IN~ITING SEALED PROPOSALS In pursuance of a resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, California, adopted directing this notice, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the said Board of Trustees will receive at the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of the City of Santa Ana, on or before the hour of 2:00 o.clock P.M., on the 6th day of June, 1949, sealed bids or proposals for eleven (ll) sections steel and wood bleachers as per specifications, ll2 seats per section, @ tiers high, seat boards 27 inches back to back, 21 feet long, guard railing around each section - total seating, 1232. Temporary Seats - three (3) sections steel and wood bleachers as per specffications - 98 seats per section, 7 tiers high, seat board 21 feet long, guard rails around each section - total seating, 294, in the City of Santa Aha, Califoraia. The bidder must submit with his proposal a satisfactory check certified by a responsible b.n~ and payable to the order of the City of Santa Ana, or a bidder,s bond, for an amount not less than ten (10) per cent of the aggregate sum of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the~proposed contract if the same is awarded to him, and in event of failure to enter into such contract said check or bond shall become the property of the City. The work is to be done in accordance with the plans and specifications of the City of Santa Ana on file in the office of the Park Superintendent, Room 308, of the City Hall of Santa Aha, California. The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana reserves the right to reject any and all bids. By order of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, California. Dated this 16th day of May, 1949.
