RESOLUTION NO. 4003 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 0F THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, C~LIFORMIA GRANTIN~ <br />A TEMPORARY COST OF LIVING INCREASE TO <br />CITY EMPLOYEES. <br /> <br /> ~;3~EREAS, durin~ the past decade the wages of city <br /> employees have not increased in amount which eousls the <br /> increased cost of living during the same~period, and in <br /> some instances h~ve no~ increased at all, and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, wages in manufacturing, industry, and trade <br /> have increawed approximstely 150% during said period, and <br /> it is felt that city employees wages should be adjusted, <br /> at least in part to the rising cost in living. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that a temporary co~t <br /> <br /> of living increase in the amount of $15.00 per month for <br /> all full-time city employees, and a temporary cost of living <br /> increase in the amount of $7.50 per month for part-time <br /> employees, be and the same is hereby grsuted, to take effect <br /> November 1st, 1950 ~nd to continue to and including June 50th <br /> 1951. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shsll not <br /> effect salaries of elected officials. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of <br />October, 1950. <br /> <br />ATTE ST: <br /> <br />Nayor <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />
