RESOLUTION NO. 4007 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA URGING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION <br />OF HIGHWAYS TO PROVIDE A CROSSING OVER THE FREEWAY AT SANTA <br />CLARA AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of California is in the process of con- <br /> structing a Freeway through the City of Santa Aha and the presently <br /> proposed plans provide no method of passing over or across said Free- <br /> way at its intersectioa of Santa Clara Avenue; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br /> City of Santa Aha, California hereby respectfully petitions and re- <br /> quests the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, to <br /> provide a bridged cross-over above the Santa Aha Freeway at Santa <br /> Clara Avenue in said City for the accommodatloa of traffic, both <br /> vehicular and pedestrian; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTheR RESOLVED: That the highly populated and de- <br />veloped area in and about the vicinity of Santa Clara Avenue should <br />be afforded some method of moving to and from the central part of <br />said City more direct than is now afforded; that the numerous chil- <br />dren of school age residing in the area should have provided for them, <br />a school crossing or pedestrian way; <br /> <br /> BE I~ FURTH~ RESOLVED: That such a crossing would greatly <br />facilitate the handling of municipal and public utilities which <br />must be serviced across said Freeway. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of <br />November, 1950. <br /> <br />ATTE ST: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />
