RESOLUTION NO. 4065 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN AND <br />CITY CLERK TO ATTEST DEED, PURSUANT TO <br />~uDGMENT IN UNIT.:~ STATES DISTRICT COURT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY TPIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA AIWA <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> THAT the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute <br />and acknowledge, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to attest the signature of the Mayor thereupon, a grant <br />deed to the United States of America conveying in fee simple <br />absolute, free and Clear of all encumbrances, to that certain <br />real property situate in the County of Orange, State of Calif- <br />ornia, described as follows: <br /> <br /> That portion of Lot 13, Block A, Berry <br /> Tract, as shown on a map recorded in <br /> Book 9, page 8, Miscellaneous Records <br /> of Los Angeles County, California, lying <br /> Southerly of the South line of that cer- <br /> tain County road 66 ft. in width known <br /> as and called Kent Avenue <br /> <br />and the said Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to deliver <br />the said deed, together with a certified copy of this Resolution, <br />to the Clerk of the United States District Court, Southern District <br />of California, Central Division, at his official office at <br /> <br />321 U.S. Courthouse and Postoffice Building, 312 North Spring <br />Street, Los Angeles, California; and that coincident with the <br />delivery of the said deed and certified copy of this Resolution <br />to accept and receive from the said Clerk the sum of $1,500e00 <br />without interest out of moneys heretofore deposited by the United <br />States of America in the registry of said court for and on behalf <br />of the City of Santa Ana and to issue his receipt therefor in <br />that certain proceeding entitled United States of America, plaintiff, <br />v. M.H. Whittier Company, Ltd., a California corporation, and City <br />of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation, defendants, No. 8161W-Civil, <br />in which action a Judgment was entered requiring the City of Santa <br /> <br /> <br />
