<br />An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California,
<br />
<br />establishing a business and residence district, and prohibiting
<br />
<br />the establishment or maintenance of certain businesses and indus_t-
<br />
<br />Sties in said district.
<br />
<br /> The Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana do
<br />
<br />ordain as follows:
<br />
<br />the
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That ail of the City of Santa Ana within
<br />following described boundaries is declared to be a
<br />
<br />residence a~d business district, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the point of intersection of the North line
<br /> of Township 5 South, Range l0 West, San Bernardino Base and
<br /> Merldiau, in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, with the West
<br /> boundary of said Rancho; thence East along the North line of
<br /> said Township to a point 2088.5 feet East of the Northwest
<br /> corner of Section Six, Township 8 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B.&M.,
<br /> being the Northwest corner of land formerly owned by Charles
<br /> Pete~a; thence South 825.0 feet to the Southwest corner of
<br /> land formerly owned S.K.Hemphill;'thence Ea~ 20.00 chains;
<br /> thence South 1400.0 feet to the Southwest corner of land
<br /> formerly owned by H.W.Rohrs; thence East 2654.0 feet to the
<br /> Northwest corner of land formerly owned by A.M.Beltz; thence
<br /> South 2640.0 feet to the North line of Section 8, Township $
<br /> South, R~ge 9 West, S.B.B.& M., thence East 1046.2 feet to
<br /> the Northwest corner of the Mabury Tract; thence South to the
<br /> Southwest corner of the Mabury Tract on the North line of
<br /> Section 1V, Township 8 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B.& M., thence
<br /> West 5.20 chains to a point 24.S0 chains East of the Northwest
<br /> corner of said Section 1V; thence South kO a point 24.50 .

<br /> 266 and of Tract No. 252 a distance of 2680.V9 feet to the
<br /> Southeast corner of Traqt No, 252 accor~ng to a map recorded
<br /> in Miscellaneous MaW Book 1J, page 33, ~ecords of Orange
<br /> County, California; thence North 89° 19' 15" West along the
<br /> South line of said Tract No. 252, a distance of 1299.1V feet
<br /> to the West line of Section 19; Township 8 South, Range 9
<br /> West; thence North 0° 32' 15" East along the West line of said
<br /> Section 19 a distance of 1343.80 feet to the Southeast corner
<br /> of the Northeast quarter of the ~ortheast quarter of hection
<br /> 24, Township 5 South, Range 10 West S.B.B.& M.; being ~lso
<br /> the point of intersec~cn of the center line of South Main
<br /> Street with the center line of Edinger Street; thence North

<br /> the center line of Edinger Street a distance of 2591.30 feet
<br /> to the intersection with the center li~e of Bristol Street;

<br /> Bristol Street a distance of 1322.21 feet, to the Southwest --
<br /> corner of Section 13, Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
<br /> S.B.B.& M.; thence North one-half mile to the Southeast corner
<br /> of the Plaza Rancho; thence West one mile to the Southwest
<br /> corner of Lot 4, Santa Aha Acres; thence North to the North-
<br /> west corner of Lot 3, Santa Ana Acres; thence ~est to the
<br /> Westerly boundary of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana; thence
<br /> Northeasterly along said Westerly boundary ~f the Rancho
<br /> Santiago de Santa Aha to the placeof beginning; being the same
<br /> boundaries and embracing the same territory as that of the City~
<br /> of Santa Aha, as now existing.

<br />Section II. It shall be unlawful for any per, n,
<br />
<br />firm or corporation to erect, establish, carry on or maintain
<br />
<br />within the residence or business district described in Section
<br />
<br />I hereof, any oil well or derrick, or the business of drilling
<br />
<br />or operating for the discovery or production of oil, gas,
<br />
<br />hydrocarbons or other kindred substances.
<br />
<br />Section III. That any firm,'person or corporation
<br />
<br />violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
<br />
<br />
