FI~ SERVICE~ <br /> <br /> No fire line ~all be used for any purpose other than <br />for the extingutehment of fire, unless the same be equipped <br />with a meter, in which event, the regular rates shall be <br />charged, together with cost of meter. Where fire line is <br />used for fire purposes only, the owner shall ~ay for all <br />repairs to service, from main to City curb cocks. Upon <br />failure to pay said charges, water will be shut off until <br />such charge is paid. <br /> <br /> Fire hydrants are provided for the sole purpose <br /> <br />of extinguishing fires, and shall be opened and used only <br />by the Water and Fire Departments, or such persons as may <br />be authorized to do so by the Water Department. <br /> <br /> Ail persons using water through fire hydrants, or <br />other hydrant owne~ or controlled by the City of Santa Aha, <br />sh~ll be required to obtain a permit so to dc from the Water <br />Department, which shall issue no such permit to any person <br />who has violated any of the provisions of these rules, or <br />whose indebtedness to the City of Santa Ana for water used, <br />or damage to hydrants, is delinquent. <br /> <br /> Ail persons permitted to open fire hydrants, will <br />be required to replace caps on the outlets when the same -- <br />are not in use. Failure to do so will be sufficient cause <br />to prohibit further use of the hydrants, and the refusal <br />to grant subsequent permits for the use of such fire hydrants. <br />METER TO P~IN PROPERTY OF THE CITY. <br /> <br /> All water meters installed by the Water Department, <br /> shall remain st all times the ~roperty of the Water Department, <br /> and where replacements, repairs or adjustments of any meter <br /> are rendered neoessax~y by the act, negligence or careless- <br /> ness of the consumer, any expense caused the Department <br /> thereby, shall be charged against, and collected from the <br /> consumer. If consumer or owner fail to pay such charges, <br /> water may be shut off until such charges are paid. <br /> CIRCUSES~ SHOWSt ETC. <br /> <br /> Ail circuses, shows or exhibitions, using water <br /> from the mains of the City of Santa Aha, shall make appli- <br /> cation for such water at the office of the Water Department, <br /> and shall pay in advance therefor the sum of $10.00 per day.~ <br /> DEMAND FOR METER TEST. ~ <br /> <br />.... ~ Any consumer may demand that the meter through <br /> <br /> which water is being furnished, be examined and tested by <br /> said Water Department, for the purpose of ascertaining <br /> whether or not it is registering correctly the amount of <br /> water which is being delivered t~ough it. Such demand <br /> shall be made in writing to the Water Department, and <br /> shall be accompanied by a deposit of the amount charged for <br /> the various sizes, to-wit:- <br /> <br /> <br />
