ORDINANCE NO. 830 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULATING <br />RESTAURANTS, CAFES, LUNCH COUNTERS S[ND HOT-DOG <br />STANDS IN THE CITY OF SANCTA ANA, AND PROVI]]I EG FOR <br />TITE ISSUANCE OF PER~lITS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> <br />follows:- <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as <br /> <br /> Section 1. That no restaurant, cafe, lunch counter or hot. <br />dog stand shall be maintained or conducted in any pool or billiard <br />hall, bowling alley or market in said city, unless the same shall be <br />in a room partitioned off from such pool or billiard hall, bowling <br />alley or market and have a closed front, all as required by the State <br />law or City Ordinance relative to public health and sanitation. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That every application hereafter for a ~ rmit <br />to conduct a restaurant, cafe, lunch counter or other business of s <br />similar nature shall be first approved by the health department of <br />the City of Santa Ana, sho~ing that the location and conditions where <br />said applicant proposes to conduct such restaurant,cafe, lunch <br />counter or other similar business is sanitary and conforms to the <br />health department regulations. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That any person violating any of the provision~ <br />of this ordinan~ shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convict- <br /> <br />ion thereof shall be subject to a fine <br />Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment <br />County, for not exceeding thirty (30) <br />imprisonment. <br /> <br /> not exceeding One Hundred <br /> <br />in the County Jail of Orange <br />days, or by both such fine and <br /> <br /> Section 4. That the City Clerk sha].l certi~ to the <br />passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published three <br />(3) times in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper <br />printed and published, and generally circulated in said City, and the <br />same shall take effect and be in force thirty ($0) days from the date <br />of its final passage. <br /> <br /> The foregoing ordinance is app~.oved this lTth day of <br />October, 1927. <br /> <br /> F.
