182 ORDINANCE NO. 904. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION IN "WRIGHT STRE~ ADDITION" WHEREAS, a special election was held in that territory known as "Wright Street Addition" on Thursday, the 8th day of December, 1929, pursuant to the pro- visions of an Act of the Legislature of June ll~ 1913, relating to the annexation of territory to municipalities, and fottud in the Statutes of 191~, Page 887~'as subseqmently amended, at which election there was submitted the question of whether said new territory hereinafter described should be annexed to~ incorporate. in and made a part of the City of Santa Aha; and WHEREAS, notice of said election was given by publication, in the time, form and manner as required by said Act, as appears from the affidavit of Laurine E. Arguello of the Orange Daily News oM file with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, it appears that said special election was held in accordance with law and said notice on Thursday, the 8th day of December, 1929, and that the polls for said election were kept open during the time required by law, to-wit, from six o~clock A.M. to seven o'clock P.M. of said day, and that said special election was held and conducted, and the votes received ~nd canvassed, and the result thereof determined and declared, in the time, form and manner required by law; and WHEREAS~ the City Council of th~ City of Santa Aha did on Monday, the 9th day of December, 1929, being the time provided for its regular meeting next after the expiration of ttaree (3) days from and after the date of said election~ meet and proceed to canvass the returns of said special election as required by l~ WHEREUPON~ the result of said canvass having been found to be as here- inafter stated; The City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as follows: 1. That the new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Santa Ana as aforesaid is particularly described as fellows, to-wit: Situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and part- icularly described as follows, to-wit: ~ Beginning at a point in Seventeenth Street, said point being on the Northerly boundary line of the City of Santa Aha, California, and distant 808 feet Easterly from an angle point in said boundary line, which said angle point is in the intersection of Wright Street with Seventeenth Street; thence Northerly and parallel to Wright Street 180 feet to a point; thence Westerly and parallel to Seventeenth Street 808 feet to an intersection with the said bo~_ndary line in Wright Street; thence Southerly along said boundary line in ~right Street to an intersection with said boundary line in Seventeenth Street; thence Easterly along said boundary line in Seventeenth Street to the point of beginning. 2. That there was but one election precinct established and~ provided for the holding of said special election, the boundaries of which were the boundaries of said territory. 3. That the whole number of votes cast upon said proposition in the territory to be annexed as aforesaid was Two, and the number of votes cast therein in favor of annexation was Two, and the number of votes cast therein against annexation was None, and~ WItEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of said election held in the territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Santa Ana that the
