ORDINANCE NO. 928 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA A}.~NDING SECTIONS 3 AND 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 641, REGULATING THE KEEP- ING OF D0~STIC ANIMALS. follows~ animals so hood where persons. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as follows: Section l: That Section'3 of Ordinance No. 641 is hereby amended to ~ead as "S~ction 3: That it ~hall b~ unlawful for any person, firm or corporation~ who kee~s or has upon premises ov~ed, leased, or occupied by'him, any horse, mule, cow, or other meat cattle, goat or other domestic animal, except a dog or cat, to keep or main tain such animal within seventy-five (75) feet of any family residence, their own ~nclude. It sh&ll also be unlawful for any person or persons to cause or permit any of said animal~ to be ~t large and to go or be upon the premises o~aed or occupied by any other person in said City, without said other person~ consent~ or to keep or have any such as to be o~fensive to or annoy an~j person or persons residing in the ~eighbor- they are kept or maintained, so as to render life uncomfortable for such other follows: Section ~: That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 641 is hereby amended to read as "Section 4: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep or maintain any hens, ducks, geese or other domestic fowls, or rabbits, or any kind of tame animals, except dogs, cats, parrots, canary birds, or other house birds, within fifty (80) feet of any family residence, their o~ included, unless a special permit sham be issued therefor by the Health Department of said City, and subject to the rules and regulations provided for by said Health Department. That rabbits must be kept in a hutch approved by the Health Department of the CouSty of Orange, and no box hutches will be permitted. That all fowls or animals must be kept in a sanitary conktion at all times . It shall be unlawful for any person ~ persons to cause or permit any fowls or animals, except dogs or cats, to go or be at large,~r to go or be upon the premises cwne or occupied by any other person without such other person~s consent, or to sc keep or maintain any such fowls or animals as to be offensive to or annoy any person or personm ~esiding in the neighborhood where they are kept or maintained, in such a manner as to render life uncomfortable for any such person or persons." Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are to that extent repealed. Section 4: The City Clerk of the City of Santa Ana shall certify to the passag. of this ordinance and cause the same to be published three times in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper printed, published and generally circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and the same shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from the date of final passage.
