SECTION 4: That Section 4 of said ordinance is hereby amended by the additio~ <br />thereto of a new subdivision to be lettered (e) and to follow immediately after sub- <br />division (d) of said section, and shall be in words and figures as follows, towtt: <br /> <br /> "(e) The Board of Examiners shall keep full, true and correct records of <br />all applications and registrations filed with them, and of all proceedings and actions <br />taken by them as such Board of Examiners, and all such records shall be kept in the <br />office of the Electrical Inspector of the City of Santa Ana under the immediate <br />direction and care of a secretary of said Board of Examiners, who shall be such person <br />as shall be employed by the City of Santa Ana to act as clerk, stenographer or <br />secretary to the City Electrician of the City of Santa Aha; all said records shall be <br />open to public inspection, except exmninatic~ papers of any applicant, which examin- <br />ation papers shall only be open to inspection by the applicant, or his agent or <br />representative, or officials of the City of Santa Aha officially interested in said <br />examination papers ." <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That subdivision (a) of Section 5 of the said ordinance is hereby <br />amended so as to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(a) There shall be a secretary of the Board of Examiners who shall be such <br />person as may be employed by the City of Santa Aha as clerk, secretary or stenographer <br /> <br />for the City Electrician, and shall serve as such secretary of the Board of <br /> <br />Examiners without additional compensation".. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6: That subdivision (e) of Section 8 of said ordinance is hereby <br />amended so as to rea~ as follows: <br /> <br /> "(e) All fees collected by the Secretary of the Board of Examiners or by <br />said Board of Examiners, shall be paid into the general fund of the City of Santa Aha <br />at the time and in the manner required by law". <br /> <br /> , SECTION 7: That subdivision (a) of Section 15 of said ordinance is hereby <br /> <br />amended so as to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to carry on, do or engage in the <br />installation, alteration or repair of any electrical equipment or to do any electrical <br />work on private property, or to do any work affecting the electrical system of any <br />house, building or structure in the City of Santa Aha, without a Master Electrician's <br />certificate or without a Journeyman Electrician's certificate, as the case may be, <br />provided that apprentices of Ma~ter Electricians may assist or act as an assistant to a <br />Master or Journeyman Electrician while in the employ of a Certified Master Electricia~ <br />who has approved and agreed to be responsible for the work of such apprentice, provided <br />however, that all work or labor of such apprentice shall be done as a helper or an <br />assistant to, or in assistance of a Master or Journeyman Electrician, who is actually <br />working on the premises performing the work with the aid and help of such apprentice as <br />an assistant. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8: The City. Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this <br />ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by three insertions in the Santa Ana <br />Daily Evening Register, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 <br />days from and after its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City <br /> <br />ing held on the 24th day of July, 1939. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />E.
