0RDINANOE NO. ~1297 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 939 THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANADOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l: That Section 3 of City Ordinance No. 939 as amended by City Ordinance No. ll9~ be and the same is hereby amend- ed to read as follows: "Section ~: That there is hereby created a Board of Museum Trustees consisting of five members to be known as the Board of Trustees of the Bowers Museum, to be ap- pointed bylthe Neyor with the consent of not less than three of the other members of the City Council expressed on roll call vote and regularly entered in the ~inutes of the meeting. That each of said Trustees shall hereafter hold office for a term of three years or until their successors are appointed. That the Board presently appointed and acting on the basis of five year terms, shall continue in office under the following terms and conditions: That the member who has served the longest period of time since his appoint- ment shall continue to serve until June 30, 1951. That two of the members of said Board who have served for the longest period of time since their appointment, next only to the Trus- tee hereinabove referred to, shall continue to serve until June 30, 1952, and the two Trustees having served for the shortest time since their appointment shall continue to serve until June 30, 1953. That in the event there are any conflicts created by the above formula because of Trustees having served for identical periods since their last appointment, then such Trustees shall classify themselves by lot. Vacancies on said Board shall be filled by appointment as hereinabove provided for the balance of the unexpired term.
