ORDINANCE NO. 1306 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE TOAMEND CITY 0RDLhLA~NCENU~BER 1281 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES~ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section %: That City Ordinance No. 1281 which adopted the <br />Uniform Building Code, 19~9 Edition and made certain Amendments <br />thereto, is hereby amended by adding a new Section to be Numbered <br />12a, at the end of Section 12 and preceding Section 13 which said <br />new Section shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 12a: That Sub-section (h) of Section 3305 of <br /> <br /> the Uniform Building Code, 1949 Edition, adopted hereby, is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (h) Exterior Stairways. Every opening in the ex- <br /> terior wall of a building served by an exterior stairway <br /> used as a required exit shall be protected by windows <br /> of reinforced glass, set in metal sash, if within ten <br /> feet (10') of the stairway." <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and <br />adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published <br />in three consecutive issues of the Santa Ann Independent, a news- <br />paper printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Ann, <br />and hereby designated for that purpose.
