<br />Mr. Nix, has over 39 years of experience as a Civil Engineer. He has
<br />worked on a variety of development projects, ranging in size from small
<br />to very large, as the municipal agency's technical review staff. He has
<br />provided development project screen checks, responded to development
<br />community inquiries, accepted submittals on behalf of agencies,
<br />determined project impacts, developed conditions of approval, presented
<br />projects to planning commissions, prepared council agenda reports,
<br />performed plan checks, seamlessly executed the entitlement process, as
<br />well as many other municipal development services. His experience
<br />includes survey, design and construction management of all types of civil
<br />engineering projects ranging from single and multi -family residential,
<br />commercial and industrial development projects, public works projects
<br />including street, sewer, water, storm drain improvements, water wells
<br />construction including wellhead treatment, sewage and water pump
<br />stations, water reservoirs as well as sewage treatment and transmission
<br />DETAILED PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />• On -Call Plan and Map Checking Services, Various Cities- Mr. Nix
<br />has provided on -call plan checking services to several local Southern
<br />California Cities. His experience includes providing plan checking
<br />services for several small and large tract developments, single family
<br />residential units, and commercial retail centers. His services have
<br />included development project screen checks, responding to
<br />development community inquiries, performing plan checking for
<br />grading, street, storm drain, landscaping, street lighting, traffic signal,
<br />SWPPP, erosion control, and WQMP plans, as well as conducting all
<br />facets of municipal development related services.
<br />• Director of Public Works, City of Montclair- Mr. Nix served as
<br />Director of Public Works for the City of Montclair. His project.
<br />experience includes wet utility relocations necessary to support the
<br />extension of the Metro Rail from San Bernardino to Redlands and the
<br />Central Avenue Rehabilitation Project between Phillips Blvd and
<br />Arrow Route in the City of Montclair. He also provided contract
<br />support for plan check services for all Development Projects within
<br />the City of Montclair. This included review of entitlement processing
<br />and review of all improvements plans and mapping needed to
<br />facilitate new development projects, he also provided design, QA/QC
<br />and shop drawing review required for Land Development projects.
<br />• Director of Engineering and Operations, East Valley Water
<br />District, City of Highland -Mr. Nix served as the Director of
<br />Engineering and Operations for the East Valley Water District. He
<br />was responsible for daily operations and managing the Capital
<br />Improvement Program which averages $5-6M of improvements to
<br />District facilities per year. The Operations Division included both
<br />water and wastewater and served approximately 102,000 residents
<br />within City of Highland and portions of both City and County of San
<br />Bernardino. The Water Division also operates a 8 MGD surface water
<br />treatment plant which provides about 1 /3 of the potable water used
<br />within the District.
