Her experience includes contributing to PS&E preparation for <br /> public works projects such as roadway, storm drain, and sewer improvements. <br /> Additionally, she has proficiency in creating temporary traffic control plans and <br /> conducting hydrologic modeling. Alyssa is well-versed in local city and <br /> county design standards and proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Rational <br /> Method Hydrology. <br /> EDUCATION <br /> RELEVANT EXPERIENCE BS, Civil Engineering <br /> • City of Anaheim, On-Call Plan Checking Services. Plan Check Engineer. <br /> Services under this contract include plan review for entitlement purposes, REGISTRATION <br /> design plan check, standards implementation, hydrology and hydraulics Professional Civil <br /> check, sewer capacity studies, street improvement plan check, dry utility Engineer, CA <br /> (fiber and small cell installation) review, and grading plan check. The Harris <br /> team evaluates the feasibility of proposed site development in order to assist CERTIFICATIONS <br /> the City's land acquisition evaluation and due-diligence review. Alyssa's <br /> responsibilities include serving as the case engineer for utility and development Adult First Aid/CPR/AED <br /> plans, performing reviews, and preparing plan check comments. In the last five <br /> years, the City has continued to rely on Harris' consulting services in-house <br /> and to help develop processes for dry utility and development reviews. <br /> • City of Anaheim, West Street and Broadway Alley Sanitary Sewer <br /> Improvements. Project Engineer. Alyssa prepared the Preliminary Design <br /> Report (PDR) for the project. When it was determined that a simple upsizing of <br /> the sewers in West Street and Broadway Alley would not result in self-cleaning <br /> velocities, Harris pivoted to new alternatives to maximize outcomes and deliver <br /> high-quality results for the City. <br /> • City of West Hollywood, Beverly Boulevard and Robertson Boulevard <br /> Complete Street Project. Project Engineer. The project includes construction <br /> of widened sidewalks, sidewalk bulb-out curb extensions with directional <br /> access ramps at crosswalks, bike lanes, roadway paving, median islands, <br /> intersection improvements, street tree planting, parkway planting using drought <br /> tolerant groundcover, street lighting, and pedestrian level street lighting. The <br /> project also includes reconfiguring the curb face to accommodate a new <br /> development project and a gathering space. Street furniture and wayfinding <br /> signage will be installed with this project. Alyssa supported the design team on <br /> the design of curb ramps, storm drain relocations, utility disposition plans, and <br /> street rehabilitation plans. <br /> • City of Torrance, Pacific Coast Highway at Hawthorne Boulevard <br /> Intersection Improvements. Project Engineer. The purpose of this project <br /> was to enhance the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Hawthorne <br /> Boulevard. The project widened and upgraded the intersection through <br /> acquisition of right-of way, construction of dedicated right- and left-hand turn <br /> pockets, re-striping, traffic signal modifications, and utility relocation, roadway, <br /> drainage, traffic, and utility design. The scope also included obtaining a <br /> Caltrans encroachment permit, coordinating right-of-way acquisitions (full and <br /> partial takes), completing landscape irrigation improvements, and installing <br /> retaining walls.
