Comm. <br />Proposed set-back <br />line - W. 10th St. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Rimel & Johnston <br />(Reference Johnson <br />trash and garbage <br />contract) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Warrants <br /> <br />In Re <br />Award of bid <br />Const. curbs and <br />parking areas <br />Prentice Park <br /> <br />In Re <br />Award of bid <br />Buildings at <br />Casa de Santa Aha <br /> <br />It was moved by Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, that <br />the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha be requested to make <br />a thorough survey and report to the City Council as to the advantages, <br />disadvantages and problems involved in the passage of amendments to <br />our Zoning and other related Ordinances which would require the pro- <br />vision of streets of 'standard width with'in and on the boundaries of <br />all subdivisions, such streets to be of the correct width to conform <br />to the general street plan of the City and to be shown upon the <br />Tentative Map of the subdivision prior to its consideration by either <br /> <br />the Planning Commission or the City Council. <br /># <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending that <br />a new set-back line be established in connection With the proposed' <br />westerly extension of West Tenth Street as shown on the Revised <br />Tentative Map of Tract No. 1598. On motion of Trustee Hunter, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission was approved and City Attorney instructed to prepare <br /> <br />Resolution setting date of hearing to establish set-back line. <br />. <br />Communication was read from Attorney Jack J. Rime1 addressed to the <br />City Judge reference offer of David M. Johnson, Paul Johnson and <br />R.N.Johnson to relieve the City from the obligations of its trash and <br />garbage collection contract and to cancel and terminate all of such <br />contracts upon the payment to the Johnsons of the total sum of <br />$12,000.00. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, the communication was referred to the Administrator and <br />City Engineer for report as to the amount of monies due the Johnsons <br /> <br />as per their contract and length of time of operation. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk <br /> <br />authorized to issue warrants covering demands. <br />, <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Jerome, <br />seconded by Hunter and carried, the bid of Sully-Miller Contracting <br />Company, in ~he sum of $5396.80 was accepted for the construction of <br />curbs and parking areas in Prentice Park, and all other bids rejected. <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of T~ustee Jerome, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, Building T-8 in the sum of $325.00 <br />and Building T-15 in the sum of $425.00 were awarded to Van Dien-' <br />Young Company; Building T-30 in the sum of $200.00 was awarded to <br />E.R.Bringle, subject to fulfilling of reGuirements as set out in <br />notice inviting sealed proposals and Administrator instructed to sell <br />on the open market Buildings T-26 and T-29 on which no bids were <br /> <br />received. <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, <br /> <br />Council adJourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />M~yor of/the'City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />seconded by Hunter and carried, the Cit <br /> <br /> <br />
