Arthur Guy, ASLA, CILIA I BGB Group, Inc. <br />LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION REVIEWER <br />Arthur has over 40 years of landscape architecture and irrigation design <br />experience, with 25 years as Principal with BGB. Among multiple duties, Arthur <br />directs a comprehensive approach to irrigation design for the firm and serves <br />as the technical liaison pertaining to water management issues which arise <br />during the planning, design, and implementation phases of projects. Arthur's <br />knowledge of horticulture extends from high desert to tropical bioregions, <br />enabling him to effectively design planting and irrigation systems <br />appropriate to individual environmental requirements. Additionally, Arthur <br />provides landscape and irrigation plan check services relating to the City of <br />Rancho Santa Margarita's Water Conservation Landscape Ordinance. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />City of San Clemente, Railroad Corridor Pedestrian Beach Trail. Principal. <br />BGB was the prime consultant for this $15 million multi -phase oceanfront <br />project. The 2.5-mile trail is located at the base of the oceanfront bluffs that run <br />the entire length of the city. Features included bridges, handicap accessible <br />ramps, beach access facilities, native landscaping, signage, public art and <br />pedestrian accent areas. <br />City of Irvine, University Drive. Principal. As a subconsultant to Harris & <br />Associates, BGB provided preliminary design and construction documents for <br />the one mile reach adjacent to UCI Campus. Landscape and irrigation scope <br />included conversion to reclaimed water. Additionally, photo -simulations were <br />provided to convey interface between the landscape/bike trail and vehicular <br />travel lane. The $1 million (landscape scope) Project was completed in 2020. <br />• City of Redondo Beach, Esplanade Streetscape. Project Landscape <br />Architect. BGB provided landscape and hardscape design for the bluff top <br />renovation project, focusing on view preservation, increasing pedestrian and <br />bicycle safety while providing timeless design continuity of design elements. <br />The project completed in Spring 2011 and received an APWA award in 2012. <br />City of Newport Beach, West Pacific Coast Highway Streetscape. Project <br />Landscape and Irrigation Architect. As an on -call consultant for the city, <br />provided landscape and Irrigation design for a one -mile reach of median/ <br />parkway renovation. The project was completed in 2020. <br />• City of Rancho Santa Margarita, Plano Trabuco Medians. Project <br />Landscape Architect. BGB implemented irrigation and landscape design for a <br />one -mile reach, retrofitting irrigation to meet current standards and renovating <br />landscape with updated drought tolerant landscape palette. The project <br />completed in 2022. <br />City of San Clemente, N. El Camino Real Streetscape. Project Landscape <br />Architect.
