The various plan check services will be for the following areas, including but not limited to: <br />- Street Improvement Plans <br />- Grading Plans <br />- Water Quality Management Plans <br />- Geolechnical Reports <br />- Land Surveying <br />- Legal Description of Dedication <br />Final Map Plan Check <br />o Landscape Architectural and Irrigation <br />- Environmental <br />Transportation/Traffic Studies <br />- Signing and Striping Plans <br />- Traffic Signal Plans <br />Street Lighting Plans <br />In addition to general engineering design projects Consultants may be asked to perform the <br />duties of the City Land Surveyor and sign Final Maps. <br />Consultant Responsibilities: <br />On an as -needed basis, the Consultant(s) will be requested to conduct plan review services for the <br />City, whether through paper submissions or electronic plan review. The City is currently using <br />ProjectDox as its online/electronic plan review platform, and it is required that the Consultants) <br />familiarize themselves with this software and any other software the City might use in the future. <br />The City of Santa Ana is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience throughout the plan review <br />process. To achieve this, the City has established a guideline ensuring that the initial plan review will <br />be completed within a maximum of four weeks, followed by a two -week period for the second review, <br />and a one -week turnaround time for any further reviews if necessary. <br />Consultant(s) are required to deliver weekly updates to the City staff, detailing the progress of the <br />plan review, the anticipated completion date, and the hours dedicated to the plan check. Consultants <br />must present their comments to applicants in a list format, as an independent document, which could <br />be easily understood and interpreted on its own. It is essential that Consultants offer clear, detailed <br />comments designed to assist the applicant in achieving plan approval with minimal resubmissions. <br />Consultants(s) are required to provide monthly invoices for the hours dedicated reviewing plans. <br />The City reserves the right to interview any of the plan checkers, or other staff, prior to allowing plan <br />check services.
