To ensure the <br />professional development of the emergency management workforce, the recipients must ensure a routine <br />capabilities assessment is accomplished and an IPP is developed and implemented. <br />Additional Training Information <br />Per FEMA Grant Programs Directorate Information Bulletin 432, Review and Approval Requirements for <br />Training Courses Funded Through Preparedness Grants, issued on July 19, 2018, states, territories, tribal <br />entities, and high -risk urban areas are no longer required to request approval from FEMA for personnel to <br />attend non-DHS FEMA training as long as the training is coordinated with and approved by the state, <br />territory, tribal, or high -risk urban area Training Point of Contact (TPOC) and falls within the FEMA <br />mi s si on scope and t he j u r i s d i ct i on' s EOP. <br />'NIMS training courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 only need to be taken once to fulfill requirements.
