Box 3006 Williamsport, PA 17705 LEASE AGREEMENT THIS LEASE to be effective the First Day of October 19 90 between McNaughton Book Service, a division of Brodart Co., the "LESSOR" and Santa Ana ��bllc —Library the "LESSEE. FIRST: LESSOR shall supply LESSEE, at no charge, a Basic Collection of books which will be kept In turnover with monthly additions of new books supplied by LESSOR and the return of older books by LESSEE. THIRD: For Book Plans, each book supplied will becharged as 1 against the allowance unless the book retails for $20 or more, in which case the charge will behigher. For Point Plans, the number ofbooks supplied will bedetermined bythe point values of the books ordered. FOURTH: At intervals mogreater than once every three months, LESSEE shall return hoLESSOR any books inexcess /dthe Basic Collection allowed. LESSOR will reimburse the LESSEE for postage expended in making returns, will accept Collect Motor Freight shipments ofno less than 200 books. FIFTH: LESSEE will have the privilege of transferring leased books to its permanent collection by purchasing them, A discount of 7596 will be granted provided the LESSOR is furnished alist indicating retail prices aawell aathe titles ofthe books being bought. SIXTH: Returning and/or purchasing books Uone not allow LESSEE to order more new books. New books should be ordered by LESSEE using only the monthly allowance subscribed to. Should LESSEE choose Uzorder over the annual allowance LESSOR will invoice LESSEE in conjunction with Unlimited Service policy unless LESSEE wishes to borrow from the next year's allowance. SEVENTH: LESSEE shall report, atleast once each six months, any books lost from the Basic Collection. Invoicing for the ;cz�l took6v0best75v6 discount. EIGHTH: LESSEE shall pay hoLESSOR the amount of $ 2 r 959 00—each month, plus applicable taxes; payment mbe made within 30days from date ofinvoice. Adisooun of296will beallowed for payment for 12months' service inadvance, provided payment iemade within 80 days from date ofinvoice. NINTH: This lease to be in effect for period of 12 months and to renew itself from onth to month thereafter changed or cancelled. The plan may be increased the first of any month at LESSEE'S request. LESSEE will return end/or purchase all MoNaughtmn books in inventory within SOdays after the effective date oftermination.
