RESOLUTION NO. 91- 088 <br />A RESOLUTION <br />THE CITY OF <br />THE SOUTH <br />DISTRICT <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING <br />COAST PERMIT PARKING <br />EXHIBIT 3 <br />343 <br />REL: 9/6/91 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XI (commencing with Section 36- <br />480) of Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to adopt resolutions <br />establishing Permit Parking Districts wherein parking restrictions <br />apply to all vehicles except vehicles which have been issued <br />parking permits pursuant to said Article; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that the South <br />Coast residential neighborhood is in need of permit parking <br />restrictions to protect its integrity from the intrusion of <br />vehicular parking from nearby multi --family residential <br />developments; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The South Coast Permit Parking District is hereby esta- <br />blished, to consist of that area of the City of Santa delineated on <br />the map attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by <br />this reference. <br />2. No person shall park any vehicle at any time on any <br />portion of any street within the South Coast Permit Parking <br />District as to which signs have been erected indicating the <br />application of permit parking restrictions, except persons who are <br />entitled to a permit to park on such street or portion thereof <br />pursuant to this resolution and who display such permit in <br />accordance with section 36-488(a) of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />3. The Executive Director of Public Works is hereby <br />authorized to determine which streets or portions thereof within <br />the South Coast Permit Parking District shall be restricted to <br />permit parking in accordance with section 2 of this resolution and <br />to post appropriate signs giving notice of such restriction. <br />4. Persons entitled to a permit to park in locations subject <br />to permit parking restrictions pursuant to this resolution include <br />and are limited to the following: <br />(a) Any person who is licensed to drive a motor vehicle and <br />who resides in a dwelling located on any lot in the South Coast <br />Permit Parking District which does not have more than four dwelling <br />1 <br />
